TOP 25 Waiver Wire Targets for Week 3 – 2024 Fantasy Football Advice

we're only through two full weekends of NFL football and there are stud players hurt all over the place so whether you're dealing with injuries or just need somebody to add a little bit of Pop to the bottom of your bench we're talking about the waiver wire for week three let's go ahead and just dive right into it cuz we got a lot of things to talk about here today let's start it off with the top injuries from week two right at the top of the list it's tight end Evan Ingram of the Jacksonville Jaguars injured his hamstring during warm-ups and that is never ideal for my fantasy football players perspective depending on the severity he could be out 2 to four weeks so definitely pay attention to that then we have AJ Brown we already know he's been ruled out for Monday Night Football but another one of those injuries we need a little bit more information on if they really want to be careful with him the Philadelphia Eagles have a week five byy does that mean that we may not see AJ Brown until week six definitely something to pay attention to as well then Justin Jefferson a lot of people had a here with Jefferson with a quad bruise here in week two but he should be able to make it back on the field this week doesn't sound like it's anything too serious Isaiah Pacho that's a different story this one is definitely serious a fibula fracture he could be out the next six to 12 weeks so if you got him hopefully you have an IR spot to put him on and we'll talk about some potential Replacements here in a minute then Cooper cup he went down with an ankle injury luckily the opposite ankle that he dealt with injuries just a couple years ago but now he could be looking at 2 to six weeks with Miss time that blows especially with no PUK and AA either then Tua another concussion another scary sight for Tua really no idea what to expect from him and the Dolphins at this point they did just bring in Tyler Huntley so something to really kind of pay attention to I wouldn't be surprised if Tua misses the next four plus weeks though and then lastly people were worried about Joe Mixon he had a hip drop tackle there on Sunday Night Football a lot of people pissed off it looked a lot worse on film than maybe it was cuz he was able to come back into the game afterwards but do not be surprised if he misses some time here this week during practice as they kind of let him rest and recover and heal up and be good to go as we move forward but after that there were also a few things that we learned in week two that we need to go over like the New Orleans Saints are they actually really a good football team because now they're 2 and0 they've scored at least 44 points in back-to-back games and have yet to allow an opponent to score at least 20 points we see the Deep ball going to Shahed we see Alvin Kamar doing Alvin Kamar type things we're starting to see a little bit more Chris ol overall this offense this team looks really well they took it to the Dallas Cowboys can they keep the momentum going how about the duo of Marvin Harrison Jr and Kyler Murray is this stack now Elite in fantasy football cuz there were so many social media accounts after one week saying you know what Marvin Harrison's going to be a bust he just can't separate he's not going to be what we we all thought he was going to be I haven't heard anything from those people in like 24 hours Kyler Murray looks great Marvin Harrison junor was basically pulling away from everyone at will we've seen Kyler explode in fantasy football before when he had a true number one wide receiver and DeAndre Hopkins the same thing could happen once again with Marvin Harrison Jr now can we go out there and expect a huge day like that every week no probably not but we're definitely going to start seeing it more often as the season goes on what about tank Dell how overhyped was he this off season by so many people in the game in week two he had one catch for negative3 yards it's Nico Collins it's Stefon Diggs it's Joe Mixon and then after that it's scraps for everyone else now don't get me wrong I love the talent of tank Dell and people are going to come back and say yeah but he just barely missed that 50 yard bomb down the field yeah why did he miss it if he was like 3 in taller maybe he catches it I I know a lot of people want him to be a thing weekly but in this offense it's just not going to happen what about in Detroit though a lot of people were panicked about almond raw St Brown after one week well now we found out that both him and Jameson Williams can coexist they combined for 30 targets between the two of them in just week two and in case you were worried about almond Ross St Brown he had 19 of them so people can calm down thinking that his season was absolutely toast after one game he's still going to see the volume and then lastly I'm glad to see good Gino Smith back here in 2024 what really made Gino good back in 2022 was the fact that he was so efficient and he was completing almost 70% of his passes then last year happened the dude struggled to complete maybe 64% of his passes but now in 2024 he's utilizing the likes of jsn a little bit more we got DK Meda getting a Target share Tyler locket kind of hit and miss but that's somewhat normal but what's most important Gino Smith is currently completing 74% of his passes so if anything that really tells me that we're in line for a much improved season for the likes of DK metf and Jackson Smith and jiga so if you have them on your roster don't think about moving them here just yet I'm holding on to them for the Long Haul which will basically take us into the waiver wire section now and let's look at a few quarterbacks that are going to be available for a large chunk of you now a lot of people every week comment I don't know where these ownership percentages are coming from that's not what it shows in my league duh every league is going to be different if you don't like the ownership percentages go take it up with sleeper and ESPN and everyone else who publishes it cuz that's where the numbers are pulled from so right off the top I got Derek Carr he's currently owned in only 21% of leagues and now has a matchup next week going up against the Philadelphia Eagles as of right now he's the overall quarterback two in fantasy football has five touchdowns through two games compl completing almost 77% of his passes and had no issues going out there and taking advantage of the Dallas defense now he's going to get a matchup going up against Philadelphia in week three who is much easier to throw on than they are to run on if you need a quarterback Derek Carr is definitely one I don't have an issue with this upcoming week Gino Smith only owned in 29% of leagues now going up against Miami and like we just talked about It's the Return of good Gino he is the quarterback eight overall in fantasy football two games averaging right around 18 fantasy points per game love the involvement of jsn Jackson Smith and jiga but here's a little bonus a little cherry on top he's had at least four rushing attempts now in back-to-back games as well that helps boost up the floor we love to see that and then lastly it's the guard dog Garder muu of the Las Vegas Raiders only owned an 11% of leagues but the dude plays Carolina in week three you're going to notice a trend in this show all season long whoever the opposing quarterback is going up against Carolina they're going to be in the waiver wire show unless it's one of the studs that we know is not available now muu hasn't really killed it this season so far but like I said this one is all about matchups and we just saw Quinton Johnston and Justin Herbert put up some decent numbers against this Carolina defense we know that he has Devonte Adams and Brock Bowers that is more than enough to keep his floor pretty safe and in a great matchup he is a waiver wire streaming option in week three which will then take gets over to running backs the first one up is Carson steel running back of the Kansas City Chiefs currently owned in only 4% of leagues and is going up against Atlanta this week which is not an easy matchup whatsoever but he was the preseason darling in Kansas City he's a hard Runner just like Isaiah Pacho he's a goal line threat but it's really impossible to know what the split is going to be between him and the next guy up on the list samj perine he's only owned an 8% of leagues as well but only has two touches in two games with Kansas City and both of them are receptions so you have to expect that Carson steel is going to be the guy that gets extended volume on the ground in the early Downs with the Isaiah Pacho injury so if it's me if I'm adding someone right now it's Carson steel and we're just going to keep our fingers crossed that he's the guy that gets the volume then we go down to Bucky Irving who shows that he's owning 42% of fantasy football leagues with a matchup this week going up against Denver now while last week Rashad white struggled going up against a super tough Detroit run defense he's also dealing with a groin injury now we've been talking up Bucky Irving for a long time for weeks now it seems like even if you're a member last week we posted a graphic that said hey you may want to keep an extra close eye on Bucky Irving if you have a roster spot if Rashad white is limited in any possible way due to that groin injury Bucky Irving could see extended touches in week three then we go down to Marshon Lloyd with a very tough matchup this week going up against Tennessee but it shows he's only owned in 23% of leagues now he just came back from a hamstring injury but then hurt his ankle late in week two but I can't find anything anywhere that says this is any type of severe ankle injury last week Josh Jacobs touched the ball 32 times you have to think that Marshon Lloyd if it's not a serious injury is a handcuff you have to have if you own Josh Jacobs then we go down to another rookie running back it's brillan Allen of the New York Jets only owned in 20% of leagues a matchup this week going up against New England but he really came out of nowhere this week there is nothing wrong with Bree Hall he still had 21 touches in week two but brillan Allen just showed the world that if he's given touches if he's given an opportunity in this offense big things can happen he really needs to be viewed as one of the top handcuffs in fantasy football if you got Bree Hall you better have brayan Allen if you don't have Bree Hall but you have some nobody on the bottom of your roster that maybe you can just take a flyer on somebody that's brillan Allen is he somebody that I want to start in week three no absolutely not until we see him get more consistent volume but then that takes us to Rico D of the Dallas Cowboys owning 50% of leagues now a matchup going up against Baltimore and Dallas fell behind early and really needed to rely a little bit more on the explosive typ back in Rico D than the grinder in Zeke Elliott D played well but I wouldn't be surprised if he earned more touches going forward this Dallas team we really don't know what we have yet they really haven't played with any consistency in the first couple weeks of the game if they get desperate I can see them turning to the more explosive running back a little bit more en r d so he's somebody that probably needs to be owned on the bottom of your bench and then lastly it's Antonio Gibson of the New England Patriots only owned 26% of leagues a matchup this week going up against the Jets he just had 11 carries for 96 yards while really not harming the volume of RA Andre Stevenson this team needs that playmaking ability and New England is going to find ways to get the ball more to Antonio Gibson it's going to happen he's a great handcuff for mandre Stevenson and he could turn into a decent Flex option as the season progresses but that'll take us on to ball catchers where you know what I'm keeping these two names on the top of the list till they're damn near owned everywhere because I've been talking about them more than anyone else probably in 2024 the first one Rasheed Shahed his ownership percentage shows up to 57% now he's going up against Philadelphia he has 169 yards receiving in two touchdowns through two games he's doing exactly as it was expected of him to start the season and like I said I'm probably going to leave him here till he's 100% owned a lot of people think that he could be that top big threat in New Orleans and not have it be Chris olve then Khalil Shakir now he's owned in 68% of league so he is climbing in a matchup going up against Jacksonville he just led the team in targets last week Keon Coleman and Curtis Samuel are not being looked at in this offense I mean Shakir probably would have had a bigger week two if Buffalo wasn't up by such a large amount where they really didn't have to throw the ball very much whether you like it or not khil Shakir is the number one wide receiver in Buffalo then we go down to Jaylen tobert of the Dallas Cowboys only owned in 6% of leagues now going up against Baltimore really saw him adopt a larger role in this offense this week with no Jake Ferguson he had nine targets six catches and 82 yards and I don't know about you but I really don't see Dallas going run heavy at any time soon here this season especially in a matchup this week going up against Baltimore then we have Quinton Johnson of the Los Angeles Chargers only owned in 16% of leagues now going up against Pittsburgh was what we saw from Quinton Johnston getting two touchdowns last week was that due to just the matchup going up against Carolina potentially but this offense here in Los Angeles is really trying to find out who is their number one pass catching option and a lot of times in the NFL all it takes is one big game to really boost potential future opportunities a game like getting two touchdowns so we could see Quinton Johnston getting some more targets here in the near future then we go down to Jaylen Naylor another guy that was mentioned to our members prior to the games this week as a a name that you should stash as a late round lottery ticket now hopefully you're a member if you're not a member consider becoming one by hitting the join button right underneath the video you're going to get access to Discord you're going to get Flex rankings kicker rankings defense rankings a members only live stream and so much more so really consider hitting that join button if you haven't already but then we saw Jaylen Naylor go out there and be second on the team and receiving and now we know that Justin Jefferson is a little bit banged up probably not going to miss some time but the targets are going to be there for Jaylen then we go down to Jerry Judy who's owned in 60% of Leagues with a matchup going up against the Giants and if I'm being completely honest this one right here is all about volume even though a lot of it isn't catchable he's averaging seven targets a game though so if you're struggling with injuries at the wide receiver position at least he's a wide out that you know is going to see some looks each and every week then we go down to a couple guys in La we know we just lost Cooper cup so we got tutu Atwell and Demarcus Robinson now tutu Atwell only owned in two % of leagues probably widely available for a lot of people a matchup this week going up against San Francisco and with puka out cup injured a bad offensive line and a defense that doesn't look anything like it used to be we're going to be trying to find an injury fill in here in LA and it's going to have to be quick someone's going to have to catch the ball we've seen tutu Atwell step up at times like this in the past due to injuries on his team maybe he can do it again kind of a wild card play not an absolute must grab and must start type guy the more more safer option in this offense is still Demarcus Robinson he's owned in 56% of leagues he led the team in receiving just last week and like I said even though his ceiling is going to be all over the place he does possess quote unquote the safest floor of the remaining wide receivers there for the Los Angeles Rams which means now we got to go to tight ends the football kind and right at the top of the list is one of the tight ends that I had in this show just last week so hopefully you grabbed him and then I see the ownership percentage is only 10% and I realize not a lot of people grabbed him but he was a top five tight end in week two and he is going to remain one of the top pass catching options in Cincinnati Jamar Chase is pissed off he's losing his cool T Higgins is still hurt Mike ceki looks like the best option all over the field for Cincinnati but then we also have Hunter Henry who really became the safety blanket for Gino Smith in week two he's only owned in 22% of leagues it's not really an offense that scores a lot of points though so we are going to be really reliant on volume when it comes to Hunter Henry but he is seeing the target so that's not a bad thing then we go down to kobby Parkinson he's 59% owned and now with Cooper Cup going out as well you have to expect he's going to see more targets is he going to be up there with the likes of a Mike gaseki or a hunter Henry probably not but if he can go out there and get six targets a week while these injuries are there he could be a decent filling if need be it's just a low ceiling and then we have have jonu Smith who's only owned an 8% of leagues but now going up against Seattle who was just torched by Hunter Henry last week and really jonu Smith could be that check down option in Miami until the return of Tua or there's a change at the quarterback position Skyler Thompson is not going to be a guy that pushes the ball down the field consistently they manufacture Touches for jonu Smith in Miami whether it's out of the backfield putting him in motion lining him up in the slot he's all over the place and he is definely a guy that has some sneaky upside cuz if you can get the ball in his hands he has the athletic ability to turn a small play into a big play If you're looking for a tight end but like always I know there's a few of you out there that want to stream defenses the ones we're looking at here this week Tennessee they're only 5% owned they're going up against Green Bay they are great against the run in Tennessee and we know that Green Bay is below average in the passing game with Malik Willis then we have the Las Vegas Raiders only owned in 7% of leagues and why do we have them on the list they're playing the worst offense in the NFL the Carolina Panthers and they're at home in Las Vegas then we have the Seattle Seahawks at home against Miami and no Tua in this offense means the offense in Miami becomes a lot more onedimensional could they give up a decent game to the likes of Devon Anan maybe is it going to make them an overall bad start in fantasy because of it probably not cuz you got to expect the odds of a turnover a pick six in this game are going to be a lot higher than usual but a lot a lot of people asked last week hey what happened to the players to drop section I said hey it would be in this week's show we got to give players more than one game to really just give up on them so here are five players that I am okay with dropping as of right now after two weeks it's Curtis Samuel up first he's still owned in 56% of leagues 18 yards in two games and they're not doing anything creative to get him the ball plus not to mention he's already banged up and there are other weapons in this offense that are being underutilized he's a cut candidate then Josh Palmer and this one breaks my heart also owned in 56% of leagues but for all the chemistry that he brought into this season with Justin Herbert is turned into only four catches for 34 yards through two games and they're just not throwing the ball a ton in La then dton Schultz tight end for the Houston Texans 80% owned in leagues and there are just not enough targets to go around to really make Dalton Schultz a weekly start in fantasy football and I'm not going to roster two tight ends when one of them isn't even getting volume then we go to Taj Spears pay attention eye contact open your ears take a note I am not just dropping him for some nobody if you have other immediate needs on your roster though that's when I consider dropping him if this is just a luxury drop and you're just going to go take a stab on someone else no I'm not doing that this is only if you have other immediate needs on your team he's 75% owned right now Tony perul getting the bulk of the touches but if anything happen happens to Tony Pard he's going to have a huge role in that offense so be very careful with that one and then lastly another tight end Cole KET of the Chicago Bears still owned in 55% of leagues and really similar to Dalton Schultz he is just not looked at enough in this offense once Keenan Allen comes back he'll be looked at even less as much as I believe he's a solid NFL tight end he's just not going to see enough volume to where I'm ever going to feel comfortable starting him but like we say every single year if you're out there panicking right now you need to stop look at all the people that were panicked last week about Marvin Harrison Jr almond raw St Brown they're not panicked anymore we have to let the NFL season get through the first month don't forget there are so many players that didn't play a pre-season the pre-season the three games that they missed that's basically the first month of the season so stay calm don't make any stupid moves with your fantasy team and just have a little bit of patience the best players in the NFL are the best players for a reason giving up too early on one of them though can cost you a fantasy Championship but if you enjoyed today's video do me a favor hit the like button now if you haven't already and then consider subscribing if you're not subscribed to the channel if you aren't I have no idea why cuz if you do I'm going drop bangers the rest of the season and I would love to have you here with me down below in the comment section so let me know what you think what are you looking at on the waiver wire here in week three but I'm going to go ahead and get out of here today hopefully you enjoy the rest of your day and most importantly do your part to make the world a better place now [Music]"}]
