Players RISING UP in my Rankings | 2023 Fantasy Football

today I'm bringing you players that are rising up my rankings as we get closer to the 2023 season these are players that are getting hype we've been hearing training camp preseason whatever the case may be let's get straight into that first player here and that is DJ Moore he is currently rising up my rankings and he's my wide receiver 21 as you can see on Underdog wide receiver 21 as well sleeper wide receiver 24 ESPN Wide Receiver 20 six I truly believe this could be the year that DJ Moore kind of breaks that mold out and stop finishing outside of that you know 20 19 23 area as a wide receiver because of what he's going to be coming into this year and who is the quarterback right DJ Moore has never been that Bust or terrible player that we all expected he's always been that that he always had that Talent he always had that draft Capital to prove it picked in the 21st 21st pick in the first round of 2018 DJ was set for an incredible career but when we really look at what happened happened to this team and you know since he was with the Carolina Panthers it was kind of QB Purgatory when you think of this offense you know it was kind of skewed in our mind because CMC was always finishing running back one running back two you know he was getting the opportunities he was getting the goal line touches he was getting the touches on the ground you know and that was kind of skewed with DJ Moore we were always hoping that he was going to take the next step he just never did and we look at the past five years of the quarterback play with DJ Moore and who DJ Moore who was throwing the ball to DJ Moore 2018 that was Cam Newton where DJ finished wide receiver 38 we all know cam was on his last leg there 2019 Kyle Allen W he also finished wide receiver 18 a little bit better but Kyle Allen is not is not the answer right 2020 Teddy Bridgewater wide receiver 22 we all know Teddy Bridgewater once again also another quarterback that we don't want to lean on we shouldn't have lean on 2021 we thought there was a little Glimpse with Sam Donald that wasn't the case he finished wide receiver 19 now Sam darnold the second backup to a seventh round pick and Brock pie okay 2020 Baker Mayfield Sam toold and PJ Walker finished wide receiver 22 obviously this past year he was up and down with another quarterback a lot of people thought coming into this year that DJ Moore was going to be some of this phenomenal guy because bacon Mayfield's there bacon Mayfield never consistently produced a wide receiver finish he only produced One wide receiver finish in the top 15 that was Jarvis Landry there was nothing else remotely close to that with Baker Mayfield DJ Moore was averaging the wide receiver 23 in the last five years with the quarterbacks that are clearly not the answer okay I think that is the biggest thing when you look look at this now you look at the team that he is on now now he's with the Bears he's with Justin Fields now a lot of people have a lot of question marks with Justin fields and what he can be what he can do into this offense I think if you look at the history in the past couple years and you see okay the bills traded for Stefon digs Allan popped off the Eagles Traer for AJ Brown jayen hurz popped off does that follow and Trend with the Bears getting DJ Moore and then Justin Fields pops off I mean he already popped off on the ground we believing in him as a pass catcher I'm beli in him Zach and I have been ridiculed in the chat in the comments saying Justin field is not the answer we have agreed with I would say the majority of the fantasy which feels like the majority of the fantasy Community not saying not everyone's out there is Justin PHS haters but we have to remember that they went out they had the number one overall pick could have picked Bryce young could have picked CJ stra Anthony Richardson they stayed with Justin fields and got him his wide receiver one this year in that hole for the overall the number one overall pick now when you see what we saw in preseason by the way take it with the grain of salt because it wasn't too much op you know we didn't see too much but the way Justin fields looked he looked more confident another year under this Luke gets gries correct me if I'm wrong I'm I'm terrible with names offense right another year in this system another year where he's acclimated and going back to back with this this offensive system which feels really comfortable the offensive line gets significantly better the defense gets significantly better the weapons also gets better with DJ Moore Co KT taking another big step DJ Moore is still there I mean the opportunity is there for DJ Moore to really break the mold here and finish as a top 20 wide receiver I do have him as my wide receiver 20 I do I can't put him any higher just purely based off I truly believe on those other wide receivers but I will not be surprised if DJ Moore at the end of this year is a top 15 wide receiver has a top 15 wide receiver finish with Justin Fields I think both of these guys are hand inand I think both of these guys have the chemistry especially with the reports that we've been hearing in Camp of how you know the way they've been utilizing DJ Moore getting him in space slant routes the quickness the confidence that we've seen in just Justin Fields I'm really excited about how we can see DJ Moore and Justin Fields really take it to the next step coming into 20123 so he is my first player rising up my rankings all right before I get into my second player guys go to flog fantasy.com the best place to support what Zach and I are doing here rankings articles bonus content and so much more if you want the latest both of Zack and I's rankings right before your drafts this is exactly where you can go and get them that updated day by day we're trying to update it as much as possible so once again flock fantasy.com the best place to support what Zach and I are doing here you get 30% off at sign up my next player rising at my ranking still at the wide receiver position we're going all the way to Pittsburgh now George Pickins baby he is my wide receiver 31 Underdog 34 sleeper 37 ESPN Wide Receiver 36 and one of the most exciting offenses I truly believe in underrated fantasy offense coming into the 2023 season and let's start off let's just start off by the person on the center canny pick it okay I truly believe he's going to take the next steps which would in obviously help George pickings come and be a successful fantasy relevant wide receiver not only that this offensive line has improved with rogi Jones being drafted in the first round and I've kind of been I sound like a broken record when you know I talk about anyone on this offense when I talk about you know Kenny picket Pat FR Deontay Johnson George pickings as well I truly believe Kenny p and George Pickins the chemistry that we have been hearing out of Camp right now saying that you know George Pickins and Kenny picket have been very fav favorable um he's been his favorite wide receiver to Target not only that how much George picket has improved in his route running one of the things that was a big concern in the fantasy Community especially if you were drafting him in dynasty was that his route treat was limited a nine route he was running a nine route for over 33% or 32% % of his route runs that he ran last year and people really you know equate that to him being a limited route running I'm more equate that to eliminate play calling not creative play calling out of Matt Canada now with the Improvement in the route running right that we have heard out of training camp and that he been he's been doing quick digs Slants everything that we have been seeing who which we have seen in his college profile in Georgia and we have seen the success there which I don't understand why now there's a little now that he is a bad route Runner or he doesn't get any separation which was also a big question mark we have seen the chemistry in preseason take that with a grain of salt we saw him catch that 33 yard touchdown pass in preseason against the Bucs in week one we saw the chemistry that we've seen on the field in preseason we saw how comfortable Kenny picket was in the pockets I think that really is going to you know show in George pickin's step up coming into the 2023 season I want to put him higher than my wide receiver 30 but right now I just I just can't but I am higher than consensus in all the other platforms which I feel really confident in right now is drafting George Pickins you know depending on where you draft him as my as your wide receiver three if you want to reach and get him as your wide receiver too I will not be opposed but I think at the end of the season coming into the 2024 season we're going to be talking about George pickings as a wide receiver too someone that you should be drafting as a wide receiver too maybe in the fifth sixth rounds of of your draft so once again George Pickins coming as my wide receiver one taking the next step that is necessary with Kenny picket I really believe you should be going out and drafting him and that's why he is a riser coming into this year my next player on my list that is rising up my rankings at the running back position going all the way to Denver javante Williams baby he is coming back and I've also been very awful running backs returning at their ADP in you know the after tearing the a in that season but I think where Javonte William dvon Williams is at right now I'm a little bit more comfortable Rising him up my rankings just a little bit because of what we've been seeing coming into camp in preseason okay he's currently my RB 24 Underdog rb23 sleeper 26 ESPN rb30 now I've have been preaching all offseason to avoid runningbacks that have torn their ACL the year after because I don't believe they're going to be returning their ADP but what's so really good about dvon right now is that he is somebody that is being in the going in the middle of your rounds sixth seventh sometimes even eighth depending on the monck drafts that we have seen and I really believe he could be of value especially if he is your running back three your rb4 on your team I think he can return that value we need to remember what javante Williams was doing you know his rookie season you know in the span from weeks 12 to 15 averaging over 20 points per game averaging 16 attempts on the ground he was getting the ball he was working that I mean he was he was working right he he was sixth in Jukes evaded tackles this past year if I'm not mistaken he was top five in Miss tackles as well I guess I guess evaded tackles is the same it's a little bit different context um different ways you can kind of you know uh calculate it I guess you can say but yeah he he was a guy that that has had the opportunity and when the opportunity does arise he knows what to do with the ball right so now when you see and everything that we have been seeing in training camp he's been running he's been getting tackled he played in preseason in week one preseason or week two preseason excuse me we saw him play he was getting the rust off a little bit he missed a couple drop uh he he dropped a couple balls you know he got the ball but what's really good is how much he was getting targeted in this offense early on especially with Shawn payan and everything that we've heard out of Camp has been positive javante Williams has been ahead of schedule we seen him on the field getting tackled where before we didn't see that with a lot of these people we didn't see that with Bree Hall we didn't see that with saquon Barkley you know when they were coming off the ACL tear where Javon Williams was extremely ahead of schedule which I truly believe could be a valant this is why he is rising up my rankings if I can get him as my rb3 rb4 don't draft him as your rb2 I don't I do not advise to do that but if you can get him there as a bi-week type of guy maybe he'll get you in the second half of the Season let's just say weeks eight onwards maybe he's a top 15 running back that is such a good steal for for each and every one of us when you think of where he's going right now I mean once again let me just remind you ESPN rb30 maybe you're an ESPN leagues right now and Javon is going rb30 and people are avoiding him because he's injured I am drafting him every single day there sleeper we see him Rising a little little by little in RB 26 and obviously Underdog's a little bit different that's um based off weeks you want to get into that week 17 so he's a little bit higher there but my rb24 right now where I was telling a lot of people to avoid I feel really confident in javante Williams and that's exactly why he is rising up my rankings okay my last player on this list somebody that I have been raving about somebody that Zach and I have been talking about all on live streams and I have brought as a breakout player as a trade for as a must draft and someone that is still rising up my D my my my rankings right now not dynasty rankings but my rankings that is Jan Dodson currently my wide receiver 27 right now and I truly believe he can go even higher as we get close close to the season especially when we find out what's going to happen with Terry okay ESPN Wide Receiver 37 sleeper 39 Underdog 38 that is absurd that he's still at the second half of the 30s in the wide receiver rankings and all those other platforms I think he should easily be you know in the 20s now and I think he once again he could could be even breaking the top 25 potentially coming into the 2023 season let's talk about the caveat in the room Terry McClaren does have turf toe what does that look like I'm not necessarily sure you know we probably won't really find out what that is going to look like until week one of the Season which might be a little bit too late but if I have to guess is that Terry won't be ready for week one Terry is probably going to play but he's going to be limited or Terry you know is is not going to be as healthy as he wants you know do you sit Terry out and wait until he's fully healthy or do you kind of let this injury linger all throughout the season for Terry mcen mind you the chemistry and the way that Sam how has been playing in preseason which we kind of not saying we were alluding to but we're saying if there's any glimpse of what Sam how can do we should watch him preseason and then we truly believe that Jan dson might overtake Terry I've been saying that might overtake Terry potentially in in the season and I truly believe that could be the case this year I will not be surprised if Johan Dawson finishes ahead of Terry McClaren coming into at the end of the 2023 season something really interesting here once again take with to gra of soul and this is the longest that we have seen a first team offense play for for a preseason it feels like and that was with Washington against the boltimore Ragan where they did break that streak they won 29 to 28 but they played for the First the full first and second half of that game now Terry gets injured with one of the last plays of the second half I think there was about a minute and a half left or I think it was like 50 something seconds left um in that in that scenario but Johan Dodson catches five out of 76 yards excuse me caught five out of seven targets for 76 yards he was averaging 15.2 yards per catch but if you put that in a calculator that is or not calculator but if you really try to figure out what that is that is 12 over 12 fantasy points he had in the first half which is good for someone that's being drafted according to the community as at the end of the the 30s once again wide receiver 37 in ESP and wide receiver 39 and in sleeper wide receiver 38 and Underdog what happens if that's a full game what happens if he catches eight let's just say he has two more catches right let's just say he catches you know seven seven out of nine targets and he has 100 yards that is just as good as someone that could be a good wide receiver too in my opinion that's probably getting averaging over 15 fantasy points per or getting 15 fantasy points per game um in that game specifically that that's exactly what you want when you think of someone like a Jan Dawson mind you this is the receptions and targets that Terry had who also played essentially the the same amount of times Johan Dawson played Terry c three um CAU three out of three targets for 39 yards that is kind of absurd how Jan doson was being favored by Terry now we don't have the numbers of how many snaps Terry played and how many snaps Johan doson played that's why he needs to take up with a grain of salt but if we're really going to what we've seen from samh How what we've already know from Jan Dodson with that first round draft Capital just over a year ago now I think this is exactly what we I have been preaching that Jan Dodson could I can easily see Jan doson overtaking Terry coming into this season obviously that is with the caveat with Terry being injured but Jan daon a phenomenal route Runner someone who was phenomenal in the first half of the season this past year where he was averaging what seven he got seven touch six touchdowns in the first four games seven touchdowns excuse me in the first four games of the season in the first four weeks until he got injured Johan dson is a guy he was averaging over he he scored 10 plus fantasy points out of seven out of 10 games that he played this past year I think we cannot forget what Johan Dawson is what Johan Dawson has done and what we have been seeing from Jan Dawson in preseason so comment down below let me know what you guys think Johan Dodson javante Williams DJ Moore and George Pickins those are my guys that I truly believe can easily or could help you win leagues but also rising up my rankings comment down below let me know who you think is going to be in the comments and as always it's all up now that those idiots are done talking who needs some rankings hell yeah I need some
