EVERYONE IS HURT! Week 3 INJURY UPDATE – Fantasy Football Advice

yo what is going on headliner Nation it's your boy the doc and we are back for the week three injury update show you guys know the deal every single week I go through the entire NFL slate tell you guys about all of the injuries that you need to know about for your fantasy teams again we're streamlining this show this year so we're going to be fast and furious on these injury updates if you have questions let me know the comments down below there will be some guys up on the screen that I'm not going to talk about or go in depth on it's not cuz they're not important it's just because we're trying to save a little bit of time so if you have questions about those guys specifically let me know in the comments but we've got a lot of guys to talk about so let's get into it first up we got Thursday night football Patriots at the Jets now this game is in progress as I'm recording so if anything breaks or anything major happens I will put it in the pinned comment down below along with any other injury updates that we get over the weekend so make sure that you're checking out that pinned comment if you're watching the video Patriots and Jets coming into this game though both losing linebackers for the season Juan Bentley a captain for the Patriots done for the year with a torn Peck and then Germaine Johnson the second has a torn Achilles for the Jets so again pretty rough day for the linebackers last week and kind of a tough break for both defenses in Thursday Night Football heading over to the Sunday early slate we got Giants at the Browns Giants don't really have anybody to talk about Browns have a couple guys David njoku still out with that high ankle sprain miles Garrett dealing with a foot injury he's now a game time decision he missed portions of last week's game with this foot issue he's apparently been dealing with it for a few weeks now I think ultimately he plays but he could be on a rep count against a very below average Giants team so I wouldn't be surprised if miles Garrett isn't used to his full potential this week so just keep that in mind if you're betting or if you play in IDP leagues heading over to the Bears at the Colts Bears wide receiver Kenan Allen is dealing with a heal injury he's most likely going to miss this game he's still not practicing he missed week two I would expect him to miss a few more weeks with this heal issue as they try to get him up to speed and fully healthy at the start of the Season as for the Colts Josh DS back practicing in full he should come back this week moving on to the Texans at the Vikings Texans running back Joe Mixon has a low ankle sprain uh Mixon was rolled up on ultimately left the game before returning in week two this looked like a hip drop tackle to me so I'm not really sure why we're not calling that this year I don't know why we have that rule if we're not going to call it but it definitely looked like a hip drop tackle either way mixon's test results came back negative and his issue isn't considered serious so I think he will end up playing same thing with niik Collins and Dalton Schultz I expect all those guys to be playing in this game as for the Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson has a guad contusion he is expected to play this looked worse than what it actually ended up being he took a knee to the thigh ultimately had to miss the rest of the game but still put up a great week for you for Fantasy in week two so we're not too disappointed with Justin Jefferson anyone who's ever had a dead leg or you know been punched in the leg knows that they can be debilitating but they're not really like serious longterm so that's what I think we're dealing with with Justin Jefferson this week all right next up we got Eagles at the Saints Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown has a hamstring strain this came out late last week with this hamstring injury ultimately missed week two he's already said that he expects to miss a few weeks and the Eagles have a week five by so I wouldn't be surprised if we see him after that so just know no AJ Brown this week for the Saints everybody's pretty healthy so we're moving on to the Chargers at the Steelers Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert missed Wednesday's practice and was limited on Thursday with an ankle injury he did have the ankle heavily taped I saw some video of him trying to throw he didn't look like he was moving great so clearly this thing is bothering him a little bit I do expect him to be able to play but you don't really want to run into the Steelers pass rush on a bum ankle I would temper expectations if you have Justin Herbert going for your fantasy team this week and if you have a decent option to pick up that you can stream this might be a good week to do it as for the Steelers they got both wison coming back from injury potentially this week but Justin Fields is still expected to start for the Steelers so uh doesn't really matter heading over to the Broncos at the Buccaneers Broncos don't really have any injuries to talk about but the Bucks running back Rashad white has a groin strain I do think he'll be able to play but he was a huge disappointment in week two this groin strain likely the reason for that he's expected to play through it but I wouldn't be surprised if Bucky Irving ends up with more carries than Rashad white on Sunday and then there's quite a few uh major injuries just for the defense uh and their right tackle all of those guys expected to miss some time as well so the Bucks are pretty banged up right now moving on to the Packers at the Titans Packers quarterback Jordan love coming off that MCL sprain he's a game time decision this week but he is back practicing which is a good sign that the Packers did managed to get by without him with Malik Willis at quarterback last week I was pretty surprised by that Jordan love though back practicing looks like he's going to be a game time decision for this week but him practicing is a good sign that if he doesn't play this week he's at least going to be playing next week and I still think there's a pretty good chance that he can suit up in this game Josh Jacobs Jaden Reed missing a little bit of time with some they're they're banged up it's not really a big injury it's not really anything we're going to spend too much time with just know I expect both of those guys to play same thing with Titans running back Tai J Spears I'm not really worried that those guys are going to miss this game moving on to the midday slate we've got Panthers at the Raiders uh no real injuries to talk about here so we're going to move straight into the Dolphins at the Seahawks now I'm going to get serious with you guys for a second quarterback to at Tango vioa dealing with a concussion has been placed on IR now I know that there's not much that I can really say that hasn't been said already about Tua and his concussions at this point I do worry about his long-term Health just like I worry about every NFL player's long-term Health after playing this sport football is a violent game injuries happen every single week almost all of them have significant consequences going forward so obviously this is a serious conversation when we're talking about Tu aung of ioa his concussions will he play will he not play it's not something that I take lightly talking about on this channel I don't like to speculate on a guy's career based on injuries I'm not going to tell him what he should or shouldn't do but what we know is that every single concussion adds up for a guy like Tua the symptoms are going to last longer on average every time you get a concussion and he will be more likely to have another concussion in the future because he's had so many so far so ultimately I wish Tua a very speedy recovery I hope that he can come back and play when it's right for him when the neurologists clear him he's going to make that decision the team's going to make that decision with him it seems like they're giving him a lot of time to recover from this and hopefully we will see him play football again at some point in the future if that's what he wants to do now moving on to the Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III has an oblique strain I said last week that Walker's injury was something that I was personally worried about given his history and that has proven true again this week so he has an oblique strain it's the fourth time he's had an abdominal injury since his NFL career began just a few years ago and now it's a waiting game on when he will return I don't really think it's going to be this week after a video of him surfaced trying to run and Sprint and still favoring his right side just one Sprint into practice on Thursday so just plan to be without Kenneth Walker at least for this week and maybe a few more weeks after that next up we got lions at the Cardinals now I'm going to talk about Alan Ross St Brown he had a quad cramp in the game it looked like he was dealing with a few other things the team has said that he's perfectly fine and should be fine for this week he's practicing in full so I'm not too worried about it but it was just an interesting uh situation watching him try to play through uh a quad cramp kind of an a rare place to have a an injury or a cramp so again Aman Ross St Brown should be fine for this week he's practicing I don't see any reason that he won't play and of course the secondary for the Lions is a little banged up as well but the Cardinals they're feeling pretty good so uh we're going to move on to Ravens at the Cowboys Ravens no real injuries to speak about the Cowboys do have wide receiver cidi lamb dealing with an ankle injury he took Wednesday off of practice because his ankle was sore so is this an injury I don't really think so he's not expected to miss any time time he should be able to play through this tight end Jake Ferguson almost played in week two but the team kept him out as a precaution probably to save him from the embarrassment of getting blown out at home by the Saints but I digress I do think Jake Ferguson is going to be able to come back this week heading over to the 49ers at the Rams and man I could do a whole video just on the 49ers at the Rams so I'm going to try to keep this short wide receiver Debo Samuel has a calf strain he's already been ruled out for this week so we'll talk about Debo a bit later but he is expected to miss multiple weeks with this calf strand wide receivers with calf strands typically miss an average of about two games dating back to 2017 so uh good news is I don't think he'll miss a ton of time but more worrisome is that only six% of them actually reach their Baseline Fantasy Point totals in their first game back so even if he comes back in a couple weeks he might not be at 100% tight end George KD missed Thursday's practice with a hamstring injury you never want to see a guy show up as a dnp on Thursday when they practice in full on Wednesday but it was reported that he had hamstring tightness so it doesn't sound like there's an actual injury here just more of a tight after a practice on Wednesday they're being careful with him I think he's still a game time decision just because if this tightness doesn't go away they could keep him out but I'm not really panicking yet on George KD now running back chrisan mcaffrey he's got achilles tendonitis he was placed on IR last week so clearly things not going well for San Francisco and their offense right now so uh he has to miss three more games I would not be surprised if Christian mcaffrey does not return until after the team's week n by I think they could give him that long to get back especially with Jordan Mason playing well and of course with all these issues on the offense I'm heading over to Underdog I'm throwing in an over on Jordan Mason's rushing total he's going to get a ton of carries this week I think the Rams are vulnerable to the Run game and Brandon auk's receiving yards props I'm going over on those as well he's the only guy left that's perfectly healthy I think he could have a huge game this week I'm batting a thousand so far on these picks for Underdog so make sure that you go over there use the code Headliners when you sign up get up to $1,000 bonus cash on your first deposit and make sure you're betting with the headliners on Underdog this season now as for the Rams coer cup dealing with the high ankle sprain not placed on IR I was thinking of Puka AA forgive me there but either way both of the top wide receivers for the Rams are hurt right now Cooper cup uh when it rains it pores uh I just think that this is a situation where uh you don't really want anybody from this offense at this point I think the Rams are going to have a hard time scoring without their two best pass catching options somebody from that pass C catching core is going to get a ton of targets it just is a question of who that is so uh we'll see Cooper cup though expected to miss multiple weeks I think around week seven after the teams buas when we could see puka and Cooper Cup come back all right next up we got Sunday night football Chiefs at the Falcons Chiefs running back Isaiah Pacho has a fibula fracture he's expected to miss about eight weeks he's been placed on IR the team signed Kareem hunt to their practice squad they're going to use a committee approach here I'm not really dying to get any of these running backs uh Carson steel looks like he could be the guy that gets most of the work this week might be worth starting him in your flex but again no Isaiah Pacho until well into the season now if you've got an IR spot on your roster he'd be a good one to put in there because I do think he'll be back before the fantasy playoffs but again huge blow for the Chiefs in their run game wide receiver Maris Brown has an sc sprain from the preseason he's actually done for the year they placed him on IR he had to have surgery to fixate that SC joint it wasn't healing correctly so he is now done for at least the regular season so he can safely be dropped and as for the Falcons well they don't really have anyone to talk about so we're moving into Monday night there's a double header going on this Monday love it when we get two Monday games we got Jags at the bills Jags tight end Evan Ingram has a hamstring strain he's not expected to play this week a pregame scratch in week two really disappointing hopefully you guys got the news checked the pin comment on this video because I did try to let everybody know that but it was really late when we found out that he was not going to be able to play um he is expected to miss a few weeks with this injury so I would not expect him to play this week as for the bills they've got a linebacker out but we're just going to move on to the commanders at the Bengals commanders don't really have anyone to talk about but the Bengals do have wide receiver T Higgins practicing again with his hamstring strain good to see that he's still going to be a game time decision so it's good to see he's practicing but I am not trusting throwing T Higgins into my lineup I to wait until Monday night to make that decision so if you really want to start T Higgins make sure that you have a backup plan in place because he's playing Monday night I don't think that he's probably pacing to play in this game but we'll see what happens if you want to try to start and make sure that you have a backup plan ready all right guys that's it for this week's injury video make sure you
