Can you Rely on D'Andre Swift as an RB1 in 2021 – Year 2 Fantasy Football RBs

swiss was another guy that's also hard to gauge going into this year yeah um another guy to talk about as well jamal williams extremely frustrating that he was you know picked up by the lions um for a fantasy perspective yeah so are you comfortable with his adp and are you drafting him at all i am comfortable with his atp he's currently rb14 uh and he's actually i believe my rb14 exactly so i'm literally right on with the current adp that the fantasy community if you will is putting out there let's look at some good and some bad things okay good and bad let's see good let's start with the good okay friendly trends that we saw this year love good news after the lions bye week in 2020 we saw swifty really take over this backfield from week six onwards swift was the rb9 in ppr four matches that's pretty comfy for a guy that you're now taking you know in the second or third round now obviously you know we got to see adrian peterson that offense carry on johnson in that offense but let's keep talking about the good for a second the reason i don't love jk is because he averaged 1.6 targets a game deandre swift on the other hand was getting four and a half targets per game as a rookie that's music to my ears okay that's the kind of thing in a ppr league i really want to rely on so again the good from the bye week onwards we saw a very clear sweat uh switch for uh the lions making swift uh their primary running back um and again very involved in the passing game now the bad is this team just never seems to be able to give a running back a three down role yeah last year they brought in adrian peterson carrion johnson was there this year we all thought oh my god it's a switch to dominate right right oh we signed jamal williams really the guy that pissed off every aaron jones on her last year he just signed him uh and then they went ahead and drafted jamar jefferson which by the way they released an amazing the lions released an amazing video on their draft day yeah and when you see jamar jefferson fall to them late in the draft they were hyped yeah they're pumped they were hot on everyone's draft by the way i mean who would that's true but it worries me that i don't think the lions are going to offer him a three-down roll i think jamal williams will have a role and if jamar jefferson shows he's talented he might have a role as well so i'm in two different mindsets um but i'm still comfortable taking him at his adp because like we said on today's live stream i think he's the most talented player on their offense you have to get him involved you're right and you know i think about that you know they get rid of kenny g to get rid of um marvin jones all these guys are no longer there you know and who they bring in tyrell williams rashad perryman it's terrible yeah you know like we're not excited about them and i don't see that offense going through them i see the offense going through deandre swift yeah and the rookie guys in saint brown you know this is going to be a whole and of course they get a better offensive line with penne soon as well i think that's another thing we have to remember yeah and that's the point and that's why it's hard to kind of gauge frank ragnar signed to a long term exactly who is definitely the best tackle we've seen in years it's just hard to gauge to see where swift can really be it's you know you think of swift's ppr capability or past catching ability yeah and then you think of jamal williams coming in and taking everything yeah and it's like well let me ask you let's play this very logistically then okay so you're on the board let's play some scenarios swift or jk dobbins who are you taking i'm taking swift you're taking jk because he's high in my rankings okay swift or clyde edwards hillary clyde yeah we're both going to say clyde swift or aaron jones swift swift is actually one above yeah swift is my 16 aaron jones my 17. so it's interesting because jamal williams just left aaron jones right so there's an interesting conversation aj dylan is there with her dylan is there as well i think i do slightly lean swift all right what about swift or joe mixon joe brother joe i'm gonna have to go swift there i'm gonna have to go swift it's close i just feel like there's been some reports coming out that they don't want to give joe the full work in that offense in that backfield that where he said we're getting the with the reports but what happens in the season i know i know i know i'm still going swift i think he's a more talented running back yo what's good thanks for watching we got a lot more videos a lot more if you want more videos watch it you can also subscribe right now if you want to you need to and lastly don't forget that you can sign up to support the show and get exclusive content by going to patreon.com forward slash fantasylandfam"}]
