🔥 WEEK 8 QB MUST Start/Sit Analysis! 🚀 | 2024 Fantasy Football Advice

[Music] yo what is going on headliner Nation welcome into my week eight start and sit analysis for the quarterback position the top 12 fantasy quarterbacks are starting to settle in a little bit there's still a couple of names up at the top that we really didn't anticipate this season but a lot of the names in there are finally those guys that we drafted to show up we should be getting two a back this week and unfortunately p rrick Mahomes is almost outside the top 24 quarterbacks will DeAndre Hopkins end up helping him we've got a lot to talk about today so make sure you hit that like button for me and we're going to kick it off on Monday Night Football with Minnesota and the LA Rams going to battle Sam darnold overall continues to be a very solid fantasy option and when you see the numbers he put together against Detroit last week that's probably about the same type of floor that you'll have this week against the Rams he might have a better opportunity to score some touchdowns though so hopefully that ceiling could put him inside the top 12 Minnesota is allowing the fourth most passing yards on the season but you have to be careful of turnovers and we know Matthew Stafford the Gunslinger well he's going to throw a couple of balls out there this week that definitely could end up getting picked off if he has Cooper cup with him he's definitely going to be a lowrisk option for me this week if he doesn't have Cooper cup he ends up bouncing back to a medium risk and we'll hope that that he can make up the difference with the rest of his receivers we finally saw some of Jaylen herz's upside last week and now he gets a really favorable matchup that will allow him to potentially reach that ceiling once again Cincinnati is currently allowing the seventh most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks and they're allowing the fifth most passing touchdowns this is a great matchup for Jaylen Herz and now that all of his weapons are healthy with the exception of Dallas SCD he should definitely find that upside once again through the passing game and potentially add another rushing touchdown as well the Philadelphia defense feels like it's getting better each and every week which makes a lot of sense they had some young guys that are probably starting to come into their own a little bit but Joe burrow is putting together an MVP like season right now if Cincinnati had a better record he would absolutely be in that conversation so for me when I take a look at all the quarterbacks available this week which is everybody because there's no buys I'll go ahead and go with Joe burrow over a majority of people because of the way he's playing because of his weapons and because of how solid his floor could end up being another quarterback in the MVP conversation Lamar Jackson once again he'll be a candidate this year playing outside his mind right now and is the number one quarterback in all of fantasy football not the greatest matchup in the world but not the hardest matchup in the world and definitely one where Lamar Jackson can still continue to reach that ceiling even though I got him listed as a medium risk because well we know jamus Winston definitely is good for a couple of turnovers he's still going to be my manscape mustart quarterback of the week if you're looking to get somebody into your lineup because you've been having issues at the quarterback position he's going to turn the ball over but going up against this Baltimore secondary he absolutely could ball out and throw for a lot of yards and have a couple of touchdowns to go with it and speaking of balling out if you need any help with that manscaped is definitely the way to go head on over to manscape.com and take a look at all of the awesome tools they have in their store right now and when you get ready to check out use code word Headliners 20 you're going to get 20% off your entire order and free shipping so hey jamus Winston may make you sweat a little bit this week but by the end of the day he could have some absolutely huge fantasy numbers to go with it I mean on the surface Detroit's defense is allowing the 10th most passing yards on the season however ever they've only allowed five passing touchdowns and they have eight interceptions if you were thinking of starting Mason rud off I need to seriously consider just where you're at right now in your head we're going to need to have a little bit of a conversation and we need to get you on the right page now up until last week Tennessee's defense was great in the secondary every team was having issues passing against them but then Josh Allen said hold my beer and he decided to have a really solid game through the air Keon Coleman had over a 100 yards Amari Cooper scored a touchdown and this bills offense kind of exposed this Tennessee defense that had been so solid to begin the Year Jared G will be without Jameson Williams this week and that's not great for the Lions offense but they're going to be at home and this offense is firing on all cylinders maybe Jared G doesn't have the type of upside we've seen the last couple of weeks but he should still be really solid and safe through the air by the way in the comments down below we've talked about a couple of MVP candidates already so who's your vote for ash Lamar if you think he's the NFL's MVP right now and hash Jared if you think he's the NFL MVP and if you don't think either of them are MVPs then let me know who you do think it is Miami's defense is currently allowing the fewest fantasy points per game to the quarterback position and on top of that they're are the only defense I have yet to allow 1,000 passing yards on the season Kyler Murray as a passer right now just doesn't look great and the passing game overall for Arizona doesn't seem to be in sync and because of that it leaves some room open for a potential tough matchup this week where his ceiling is not nearly as high as it needs to be now if Tua does end up returning this week he's got a solid matchup as well and I absolutely have to think that if Tua plays this week they open up the Playbook and they try to go make it a statement with Tua having a really big day along with both of his wide receivers if you've been waiting for Tua to come back I'm absolutely going to put him in the lineup unless you've got a guy outside of him that you think has top five potential this week over the next couple of weeks we're going to see Aaron roders ceiling start to climb a little bit now he's not the Aaron Rodgers of old and he's got to limit the turnovers but if he can do that with Devonte Adams in town now he definitely can find himself with inside the top 12 quarterbacks on a more consistent basis and New England got torched for quite a few passing yards last week going up against Jacksonville so if this team's got their stuff together this week if Devonte Adams is feeling a whole lot better in the scheme and they go out and they throw the ball quite a bit they could also put up quite a few yards now Drake may this week is high risk but I've got to give him love for what he's done already in his first two starts he has over 500 passing yards five touchdowns and only two interceptions in his first two career starts he looks like the guy this Jets defense is going to be a whole lot tougher than what he's faced so far so we may not see that type of ceiling this week but this will be a really good challenge to find out exactly where Drake May is in terms of his development remember what happened the last time Atlanta and Tampa Bay got together Kirk Cousins threw for over 500 passing yards and four passing touchdowns and now Tampa B B is allowing the second most fantasy points to the quarterback position he should have a super solid floor once again this week now the offense for Tampa Bay is dealing with some issues and if they can't keep up this week with Atlanta maybe that type of ceiling won't be attainable again but I'm going to head on over to Underdog where his current projection is 29.5 passing yards and I'm going to go higher than that projection because if you essentially split his stats in half from last game he should still end up hitting it with this projection right here and I feel good about his day overall Atlanta's giving up quite a few passing touchdowns especially if you can reach the Red Zone on them but Baker Mayfield does not have his top two weapons right now so his risk this week is definitely a lot higher than what it was the last time these teams got together The Yards may not be all that bad but if they can get down in the Red Zone then he's got a chance to pass for a couple of touchdowns and that is where he would make his fantasy day and find his ceiling Jacksonville is currently allowing the most fantasy points touchdowns and passing yards to quarterbacks this is a great matchup for Jordan love my only concern is that Green Bay puts it on Jacksonville so hard that unfortunately Green Bay has to back off the pedal in the second half and if that ends up happening maybe Jordan love doesn't end up reaching a huge ceiling this week but based on the matchup alone he should be just fine if this stays in neutral game script however Jordan love could be the number one quarterback on the week now over on Underdog his projection right now for passing yards is a little bit higher but I went ahead and hit the slider and just bumped it down a little bit to 229.5 I feel like going over the top of that projection should be super easy even if the fourth quarter ends up being a lot of running the football and maybe even Jordan love ends up leaving the field at some point now Jackson looked really good against New England last week but this week going up against Green Bay is going to offer a little bit more difficulty Green Bay does a really good job of picking the ball off and causing turnovers and if they can get Trevor Lawrence for at least a couple of picks this week that's going to cause some problems and it could lead to a Green Bay score and Green Bay really putting the points up on Jacksonville so Trevor Lawrence has some really solid upside but if he keeps turning the ball over unfortunately his floor is going to get really low 10 of 20 four that's what Anthony Richardson was last week 24 passing attempts and he only completed 10 of them not only is he not throwing the football all that much but he's not completing very many of them either and that spells disaster for quarterbacks however in this matchup going up against Houston it could end up being a little bit different now Houston currently is allowing the second most passing touchdowns if you remember back in week one Anthony Richardson hit a couple of deep balls to find the end zone through the air maybe that ends up happening again but on top of it Houston is also currently allowing the fourth most rushing yards to the quarterback position so while Anthony Richardson definitely is a gamble this week because of what he's doing through the air we know he can throw it deep on Houston we know Houston gives up a lot of passing touchdowns and we know they give up a lot of rushing yards to quarterbacks as well he could be worth the risk in the right situation CJ strout had an awful game last week against Green Bay so I know a lot of fantasy owners out there may be frustrated about that however go right back to him this week this matchup is super solid for him he should go back to finding his ceiling and he should be exactly what you need for your fantasy lineup the charges are currently allowing the ninth Fest fantasy points per game to the quarterback position and even if Derek Carr was a locked to return this week which he isn't it would be a tough matchup for him coming back from an injury but for Spencer Rattler it's also a really tough matchup probably both both of these guys would be best left on your bench Rattler he doesn't really even need a shot for Derek Carr if you don't have any other choices whatsoever and he does play you could potentially risk it but I would want to see a week with him back and fully healthy before I start tossing him out there once again Justin Herbert still hasn't shown us a whole lot of upside this season and the New Orleans Saints do allow quite a few passing yards so this could be an opportunity for him to kind of get going through the air but they don't allow a whole lot of teams to score through the air so his upside really isn't there right now and his floor isn't nearly good enough that I think we need to risk it with him over some other guys let's say like a jamus Winston there were some concerning Trends with Josh Allen not looking real comfortable through the air and not having a lot of consistency with his wide receivers but now that he's added Amari Cooper things could be a whole lot different Amari Cooper can play against those cornerback ones Keon Coleman can go against those cornerback twos you've got Khalil Shakir Dalton King Kade working out of the slot and of course James Cook and Ray Davis in the backfield Amari Cooper is a game changer for this offense and hopefully it will allow Josh Allen to unlock some of that upside once again the bills don't allow a whole lot of fantasy points to the quarterback position but the one thing we do know is that Gino Smith has one of the best floors in all of fantasy football for quarterbacks they just throw the ball so much missing DK metf does absolutely hurt that's going to bring it ceiling down a little bit this is a tougher matchup that's going to bring his ceiling down a little bit throwing the ball 40 times a game definitely gives him a decent floor even in a tougher matchup so Andy dalan was already going to be a high risk for me this Denver defense is no joke and there was no way that I was going to risk it with him this week but then come to find out he's actually missing practice right now because he was in a car accident I don't know how that looks for the rest of the week and if Andy Dalton is even going to be able to start we'll keep an eye on that but whether it's Andy Dalton or Bryce young I'm not playing either of them boni's rushing ability has been helping prop him up to give him a decent floor to allow him at least in the conversation of fantasy starters however this is the matchup where things could end up getting juicy and where we really need to find out how much of a ceiling that b Knicks has he hasn't been great passing the ball this season a lot of his yards have come in the second half and a lot of his production has come in the second half when it's been kind of a garbage time situation and I'm going to go ahead and head on over to Underdog where his current projection is only 29.5 passing yards I absolutely believe that he's going to go over that with as many times as they Tred to throw the football in Denver maybe he won't be super efficient like he's had troubles with so far this season but the volume alone and the potential against a really bad defense leaves them in a good spot Patrick Mahomes presents a serious problem for Fantasy owners right now he is only quarterback 22 he's barely fantasy viable and in fact a lot of you right now are having to roll with him regardless and he's absolutely killing your weeks last week he had a rushing touchdown but he had no passing touchdowns and he threw two interceptions now he has some reinforcements on the way with DeAndre Hopkins which would be great and hopefully that helps him get back to some top 12 potential but really until then unless you feel really really good about a matchup you may want to look for a quarterback that has a little bit more upside nope not doing it you want to start Gardner menu absolutely feel more than welcome to I would rather go play in traffic man I don't think that there's anybody out there that would argue against the fact that Caleb Williams versus Jaden Daniels would have been must-watch football this week but unfortunately that rib injury is going to keep that from happening it looks like he still hasn't practiced yet as of this week but maybe that ends up changing come back and talk about it if he does practice and if he does suit up but for Caleb Williams I like him in this matchup he's looked really good as of recent they're coming out of the buy so they had extra time to prepare the Washington defense has slowly gotten better as the season has gone on but there's still some opportunities for some big upside here now Chicago is allowing the second fewest fantasy points to the quarterback position jayen Daniels has absolutely sliced up some pretty big defenses this year so I wouldn't have any doubt that if he played this week and we knew that he was healthy that he wouldn't still have a pretty decent game Marcus Mariota on the other hand is not Jaden Daniels and not somebody that I would be screwing with you really got to hope that the week off did good for this Dallas offense because they get a San Francisco defense now on the road that did a pretty decent job of shutting down Patrick Mahomes in that pass game last week I don't know what else to say about Dallas they just they feel outdated right now Dak to see CD that's a great connection but they don't Target Jake Ferguson enough the Run game is really isn't all that great Rico D his showed glimpses this season but Mike McCarthy's not the guy and unfortunately until Dallas does something about that and maybe spends a little bit of money on their offense I don't think that this is going to get a whole lot better Brock PR's ceiling this week really kind of relies around Debo Samuel if Debo Samuel doesn't end up playing and they're going to be missing Brandon iuk then you've got Jan Jennings and you've got George KD now you could run the ball pretty effectively with Jordan Mason and that would be great for a win but it may not be the upside that you would need from Brock pie if he's in your fantasy lineup floor not that bad upside probably not a top 10 quarterback I'll make this one short and sweet Daniel Jones got benched last game do you really want to play him going up against a defense that allows the fourth fewest fantasy points to the quarterback position me neither now Russell Wilson I think we do need to give it another week that first half looked real Rusty for him and then in the second half things start to get a little bit better that Jets defense is not that easy and he threw for over 260 yards two touchdowns and didn't throw any interceptions he definitely could be the guy to help unlock this lineup the rest of the way through however I kind of want to see it again for another week before I start getting too excited about it yo headliner nation that is going to conclude all the start and sit videos for week eight of the regular season and the next time I see you
