🔥 WEEK 5 TE MUST Start/Sit Picks! 🚀 | 2024 Fantasy Football Advice

welcome to the 2024 NFL where fantasy points are hard to come by and the tight end position doesn't [Music] matter yo what is going on headliner Nation let's get ready to jump into my tight end start and sit analysis for week five and I know it's tough finding tight ends right now that are giving you consistent Fantasy Point but the hope is is we saw some bigname tight ends bounce back in week four and that that will continue to be a trend over the next several weeks because we absolutely need it but even if we can't rely on the tight end position we absolutely can rely on winning some money over on Underdog where it is now officially boost over Underdog is going to be giving us a free promo every single day through the month of October so if you haven't signed up over on Underdog yet and you haven't joined us on some of the fire pickup that we continue to put out then you absolutely should do it right now and all you need to do is head on over to Underdog or download their app create a new account using code word Headliners and make a deposit of at least $10 to go along with all of the promotions that they're running in October you're also going to get a super special pick them that's almost guaranteed to hit and a potential deposit bonus of up to ,000 and if you want to start building that bankroll then let's start submitting some tickets here in week five but let's talk about what tight ends have the best shot to give you some fantasy upside this week and Thursday Night Football may or may not be a great start to that I really want to hop on board with K Dot and especially in this matchup this week going up against Atlanta on Thursday Night Football but he feels like a guy I've been talking about a lot since week one of last year because he plays a lot and at the tight end position that's what we want we want tight ends that are going to be on the field quite a bit however there's always this concern between how often is a tight end on the field actually running routes and how often is he on the field to just help block well Kon does a whole lot of both but we'd have these games where he would pop up and he would seem fantasy viable and then he would disappear for stretches at a time Rashad white isn't nearly the pass catcher this year that he was last season and because of that maybe we're seeing some of those targets that were so often going to Rashad white now going to Kate Aon instead and if that's happening then Kate Aon could see some fantasy Spike here over the next few weeks over the last two weeks he's caught 13 of his 17 targets for 99 receiving yards and this matchup could definitely be an opportunity for him to see very similar type of production the Titan position is so bad right now that even if Kate uton see similar work from the last two weeks on Thursday of this week he's going to find himself is a borderline tight end one but let's imagine that he also finds the end zone this week if that happens now we're looking at a guy that is potentially a top five tight end so it really just depends on how risky you want to get with your position this week because if you start your week off with kot and at tight end you could get maybe one or two fantasy points or you could have one of the top tight ends of the entire week I don't even know how we go about trusting Kyle pittz anymore we all agreed this offseason that if he didn't get the job done that we were going to be done with him and so far in 2024 it hasn't looked good he had a touchdown in week one which is great but his high for Targets in a game this season is five and he only has one game where he has more than 26 receiving yards so for me personally right now when it comes to Kyle pittz he might blow up but he's going to do it on my bench because with Kyle pittz this is now three straight seasons of seeing absolutely no upside from him so I'll take a weekly shot on somebody else over pits and if he blows up on my bench great I'll start putting him in my lineup when I start seeing it consistently last week Tyler Conlin didn't see a great fantasy statline but he still saw eight targets which tied him for the team lead and now he gets a Minnesota team that is inside the top 10 of most fantasy points receiving yards and touchdowns allowed to the tight end position so this week if you're taking a look for tight ends to fill in for you Tyler con definitely has to be one that you're keeping an eye on and he may still be out there on your waiver wire but he should be picked up and utilized right now and hopefully moving forward he's a guy that Aaron roders looks towards quite a bit this is actually a great tight end matchup for Minnesota as well but Johnny Mt and Josh Oliver keep going back and forth it's really hard to try and figure out who's going to be the tight end one in any given week because they're seeing very similar snaps and routes run both guys are being utilized in the past game so really it just depends who's on the field when that Target is headed for the tight end position Carolina right now kind of going back and forth with their tight ends Tommy Trimble technically the tight end one played the most snaps last week but jatavian Sanders was the only tight end to actually see a Target even with Adam thielen being injured neither of the guys were fantasy viable we saw some life in Co KT back in week three but then in week four Keenan Allen came back and it kind of brought his ceiling crashing back down when all three wide receivers are healthy k k likely is going to be very touchdown dependent and because he's not going to see a ton of volume with wide receivers seeing the majority of targets it's really hard to trust him right now I think it's really hard for everyone to comprehend what exactly is going on in Baltimore right now with the tight end position Mark Andrews hasn't been fantasy viable all year long Isaiah likely hasn't been fantasy viable since week one the tight end position just not being utilized and last week it was basically because B Baltimore was up by a huge sum and they were just running the football cuz that's what they were doing and succeeding with there's really only been two things that we've been able to pinpoint with Baltimore so far number one Mark Andrews is being used way more often as a blocker and because of that he's just not being looked at in the passing game at some point maybe that changes but unfortunately I don't think it's anytime soon number two Isaiah likely is fantasy viable when Baltimore is losing if you think it's a matchup where Baltimore is going to have positive game script more than likely he should not be trusted but if Baltimore is winning or in positive game script he's really not being utilized at all Mark Andrews is on the field blocking when they're running the football so you have to determine what you think about Cincinnati this week if you think both of these teams offensively can move and score then Isaiah likely could end up being a very risky High seiling Target but if you think Baltimore is going to beat Cincinnati with a lead of 10 or more at any point this game then I would probably stay away from my is likely and look elsewhere mik keki lost some work to Eric all this past week and there was a lot of questions about is he fantasy viable but the reason Eric all ended up being on the field a little bit more often was because he played more during Cincinnati leads if Cincinnati stays neutral or negative with Baltimore this week then mik ceki ends up being on the field and I do think that mikasi has an opportunity to be fantasy viable more than what Andre yosias does right now I don't really have a whole lot to say about Miami in New England when it comes to the tight end position the one thing that I can definitely tell you is that if we can't trust Tyreek Hill or jayen WD why in the world would we think that we can trust JN new Smith so if you thought about maybe trying to utilize him in any way shape or form I would probably look elsewhere and actually for Austin Hooper and Hunter Henry I don't know how we could find any fantasy viability in either of those guys and that's why they're going to be my Mando must avoid at the tight end position this week and while we're definitely going to be avoiding Hunter Henry and hustin Hooper we're definitely avoiding jnu Smith as well so let's just make the entire matchup the Mando must avoid if you're looking to avoid odor the same way I want to avoid these tight ends then head on over to shop Mando and you can use our promo code Headliners for $5 off their starter pack that's basically 40% off the price and Mando is great especially during the season when I am rushing to constantly put out content for headlight Nation to get you ready for your weeks it definitely makes me sweat a little bit but I'm more protected with Mando who's got a clinically proven formula to help defeat odors for up to 72 hours and last week Hunter Henry played significantly more snaps ran significantly more routes but Austin Hooper ended up being the guy that scored the touchdown and actually I'm kind of glad Austin Hooper scored it and not Hunter Henry because if Henry had scored last week I probably would have gotten sucked in and he would have sucked once again for Cleveland and Washington we'll keep an eye on David njoku and we'll see if he's able to make it back on the field for week five not really sure how close he may actually be at this point in time and if for some reason he's able to play this week I don't hate trying to utilize him right away David njoku seemed to be a favorite of deshun Watson to begin the year even if deshun Watson didn't really like him last season so for David a joku the hope is is that as soon as he comes back we can plug him in and he can be a tight end with a safe floor for us on a weekly basis Zack hers is going to be a guy that's probably going to get you five to 10 fantasy points 10 being his absolute ceiling when they get down to the Red Zone Z really isn't being looked at Jaden Daniels is probably going to be scoring those touchdowns with his legs the closer that they get and with zackerz not really being the big play tight end that he once was he's really just looking for the volume and if we can get him five to six targets per week it's going to get him around five six seven fantasy points if you can do that right now that's a really great four for tight ends but the ceiling just won't end up being there Drew ogal Tre had the touchdown last week Mo Aly Cox played the most snaps kylin granson still saw 20 plus snaps last week this is a revolving door of tight ends right now and like I've already mentioned with a couple of other teams it isn't really about game planning around one of them it really just depends which one is on the field when any given play is called and because of not being able to predict any any type of rotation with these tight ends we've got to stay away from Indianapolis the good news if you've been waiting on Evan Ingram it appears he will be back in week five last week Doug Peterson said that he was really close and didn't end up playing and this week I would have to suspect if he was that close he'll end up being in and he comes back to a really really solid matchup and since Trevor Lawrence has kind of been struggling with his upside recently finding a guy that you know you have a great connection with like Ingram is sorely needed Trevor Lawrence could be looking his way quite a bit in a matchup that absolutely presents a ton of upside it was great to see Dalton concade lead the team in targets last week but that was in a negative game script it's been hard for Dalton concade to find any type of consistency because right now canade is getting targets you've got several wide receivers who are rotating in and off the field that are getting targets and then you've got James Cook getting targets as well even though he only saw one last week this match up not the best matchup for upside but D King Kate if he can lead the team in targets once again absolutely should be fantasy viable moving forward but if he's not number one in targets he needs to be number two if he starts dropping below that we're going to find issues trying to start him dalan Schultz is only going to be a medium risk if tank Dell does not play again this week if tank Dell plays we can't even think about Dalton Schultz if there's no tank Dell Dalton Schultz does have an opportunity to at least find himself with four to five targets and if he can scratch together 40 or 50 receiving yards he gives us a safe floor that we could start in weeks one and two he had 17 combined Targets in weeks three and four he's only had seven combined targets now the Denver defense is pretty tough but Denver is really tough on the outside against wide receivers you can find some room for Brock Bowers especially if you keep him in a position to utilize the middle of the field I would be willing to go back to Brock Bowers this week especially if Devonte Adams doesn't play once again because he should end up seeing a huge Target share because you're not going to be throwing it towards jacobe Meyers who may be covered by Patrick Caine the entire time Troutman Atkins and dich all saw 24 plus snaps at the tight end position last week right now Denver doesn't have one that is fantasy viable or being used enough to even be targeted unfortunately Trey McBride just was not able to clear the concussion protocol to get back last week so for Fantasy owners out there who have been relying on him you're definitely hoping he gets back this week until you see the matchup going up against the San Francisco 49ers Who currently allow the fewest receiving yards to the tight end position but a player like McBride can change that immediately just because San Francisco has been really good so far this season it doesn't mean that a whole lot of targets to Trey McBride doesn't drastically change how good they've been against tight ends if if you own Trey McBride you're definitely going to play him just understand that the upside is a little lower than what we would like and George KD was able to find the endzone last week and he didn't see a ton of production outside of that but that's what you get with George KD you get a guy that's going to make a ton of big plays you get a guy that's going to be looked at in the red zone and somebody that Brock Pie has a great relationship with Brandon auk right now isn't really hitting on all cylinders now maybe he gets back to it this week and that would be great to see see however until that happens you have to consider that George KD is a little bit safer than what we've been used to Tucker craft is going to be a really great option for Fantasy owners when Green Bay stays in neutral or negative game script but if they go into positive game script like they could this week against the Los Angeles Rams it's going to be really tough to find upside with him to begin the game hopefully Tucker craft is looked at quite a bit by Jordan love if that happens he could make his fantasy day in the first couple of quarters but if Green Bay establishes the run runs the football against the Rams which they should be able to do that's going to be really tough for craft to find his upside later on if Green Bay is leading but I will say this if Tucker craft is available on your waiver wire you should be snatching him up because with Jordan love at quarterback Tucker craft has top 12 potential every week for Colby Parkinson I don't hate this matchup now we've seen him go up and down where we've seen him get a little bit involved and then disappear then a little bit involved and disappear and last week he saw seven targets if we can take that and move that over to this week as well especially in a negative game script kobby Parkinson could give you seven or eight fantasy points and who knows if he sees enough targets he could get towards the double digit Mark another matchup with not a whole lot to look at at the tight end position Seattle is allowing the fourth most receiving yards right now to tight ends but the the New York Giants don't utilize their tight end if there's one guy that has the best shot it's probably going to be Theo Johnson the Seattle tight end that found the endzone last week was AJ Barner but phoh Brown and Noah Fant both saw quite a few snaps as well there's a clear rotation here that makes fantasy viability very very low and then you add in the fact that you've got three wide receivers commanding a high Target share and you run the ball an awful lot with Kenneth Walker it's hard to put any of these guys in your fantasy lineup hopefully Jake Ferguson is on the cusp of a massive breakout because if you drafted him this season you got huge value for him this match up going up against Pittsburgh is going to be tough and he may not have a ton of yards this week but hopefully he finds the End Zone Pittsburgh is one of the few teams who have allowed two touchdowns to the tight end position so far this year he should be number two in targets and maybe the big play isn't there so he could see like maybe 10 targets seven receptions 50 receiving yards not a huge stat line but still statline that we would take nonetheless Pat F youth is starting to come along and hopefully that connection with Justin Fields is building because Justin Fields looks like a serious bounceback candidate right now he's throwing for more yards and he's being more effective through the air than he ever was in Chicago and that is great to see and that would be great for Fri Muse value for the rest of the season the problem is this week Dallas ranks inside the top 10 fewest fantasy points and receiving yards allowed to the tight endend position so it's kind of the same thing that we talked about with Jake Ferguson he could see a decent amount of targets this week but unfortunately a touchdown is going to be the key to unlocking his upside hopefully Monday Night Football brings a ton of action for the tight end position this week now tames Hill was banged up this past week so it's yet to be seen if he's going to be able to go but if not we're going to try and find an option because Kansas City currently allows the most receiving yards and fantasy points to tight ends if Tamm Hill is able to play and he is healthy we are starting Tamm Hill if he doesn't end up going we're going to start Jawan Johnson last week Jawan Johnson led the Saints and routes run and snaps played hopefully that carries over to this week because if it does I'm sure Derek Carr will be able to find him for a few plays including possibly a touchdown New Orleans also not that great against tight ends they're currently allowing the six most receiving yards and given the fact there's really nobody that you can trust to catch the ball as much as Travis Kelsey in Kansas City he's definitely going to see a ton of targets this week maybe not the biggest upside that we were used to seeing from him but his floor should be super solid well there you go headliner Nation my analysis for the week at the tight end position and it's slim pickings there's some matchups where there's literally nothing to say because there's nothing to go in depth with there's a lot of guys out there that you might be thinking to yourself maybe this is the next man up but they might be rotating with two other tight ends and that makes it darn near impossible to find any type of fantasy upside so we got to stick to the guys that have the best opportunities and that's what we'll continue to talk about in these start and sit videos for the tight end position if these videos are helping you out though make sure you hit the like button and let me know down in the comments if I'm making a life a little bit easier for you at the tight end position I would love to hear about it but I don't even think the tight end Whisperer Can Work any of his magic right now headliner Nation hope you all have a great rest of the day stay safe and stay healthy and I'll catch you all in the next episode of the fantasy headlin I'm [Music]"}]
