🔥 WEEK 3 TE MUST Start/Sit Picks! 🚀 | 2024 Fantasy Football Advice
if you're looking at your fantasy lineup and feeling like you're getting nothing from the tight end position you're not the only one let's dive into just how bad tight ends have been so far this [Music] season yo what is going on headliner Nation the tight end position right now maybe the worst that we've seen in years and it feels like we keep saying that every single season even though in the pre preseason and offseason it feels like it's gotten deeper and I really don't know what to think at this point and I don't understand the inconsistencies at the tight end position every single week but right now things are tough 25 teams have yet to allow a touchdown to the tight end position this season Isaiah likeley had 111 receiving yards during week one Brock Bowers Hunter Henry and George KD are the only other three tight ends to have more than 111 total receiving yards through the first two weeks of the year and only eight tight ends have a touchdown right now last season there were 18 tight ends that had 10 total fantasy points through the first two weeks of the Year this season there's only 13 tight ends that have totaled at least 10 fantasy points through the first two weeks and that's why this video may be one of the most important videos that you watch for all of week three for us to win our matchups we need to get an upper hand on our opponent when it comes to the tight end position and if you're new here or you're coming back and you forgot let's dive into how you utilize our start and sit videos it's all about finding ceiling and floor what players are going to be the riskiest what players are going to be the safest and we start every matchup with a defensive analysis and we're going to put that defensive matchup right on the screen below the player what's their matchup look like in terms of defensive yards allowed touchdowns allowed and fantasy points allowed to that position and then we're going to give him a risk designation on the screen as well so you can see just how risky that player may end up being if it's a highrisk player maybe you need to find a little bit better floor for your team this week or maybe you're facing the best team in the league and you need all the risk possible because they bring the most upside you'll figure out which tight ends will be the best for your lineup for Thursday Night Football we need to try and figure out if Hunter Henry is going to be this consistent moving forward maybe he doesn't see all of this volume 12 targets eight receptions for over a 100 yards in week two but it would be great to get him around five six catches a week 60 70 yards with touchdown potential Hunter Henry has the ability to be a top five tight end but we've seen this issue in the past with New England since since he signed there maybe he scores a touchdown maybe he has a couple of games where he plays really well but then he disappears for long stretches so before I get too excited here we need to see some consistency from Hunter Henry in this offense but it would not Shock me if he's the main pass catcher for a majority of the Season without any standout wide receivers jacobe brassette is going to need somebody and Hunter Henry would be perfect and Hunter Henry having a huge season would definitely help out for those that picked him up off waivers or spend a late round pick on him Tyler Conlin is well down on the pecking order of targets and it doesn't really feel like he's a part of the Jets game plan right now and because of that if he's not getting five to six Targets on a regular basis he just doesn't have enough upside or a safe enough floor to be risking in any situation the Giants and Browns unfortunately are going to be missing the key tight end in this matchup for the New York Giants Theo Johnson he's leading the team in snaps and routes run at the tight end position but he didn't even see one target last week and a good matchup where he should have been utilized more but I feel like that's a Daniel Jones thing and not necessarily an offensive scheme thing and then David nooku could be in a smash position this week but I don't even know if he's going to play and if he does will he even be healthy so far the Giants have allowed the seventh most receiving yards to the tight end position but even if njoku suits up this week is he going to be a decoy is he going to go out and maybe be limited in snaps he's far too risky unless we get some word later in the week that he is absolutely going to be good to go and will end up being 100% but right now it feels like he may end up missing multiple weeks and it's not looking good for week three for the second straight week Tucker craft saw significantly more snaps than Luke Musgrave he solidified himself as the tight end one in Green Bay and when Jordan love comes back I would love to see him connect with Tucker craft a little bit more often like they did at the end of last season that could make Tucker craft fantasy viable down the stretch and into the fantasy playoffs for us but unfortunately right now with Malik Willis I just don't see him getting enough targets or quality targets to be worth it outside of the touchdown in week one chig oono hasn't really done anything to give us the warm and fuzzies about consistent fantasy production in fact he's basically in a three-way split right now for snaps at the tight end position and with DeAndre Hopkins being elimin I would really like to believe that chioko would be utilized more in the passing game but he hasn't been so if he's not going to be utilized now when would he the Chicago Indianapolis matchup is basically a hodgepodge of a bunch of tight ends that aren't doing anything maybe Cole Ked is back to being the tight end one in Chicago he saw significantly more snaps this past week than Gerald Everett in fact it was double the amount of snaps Cole KT played 54 snaps this past weekend while Gerald Everett only played 25 however Gerald Everett ran seven more routes than what Cole KT did Cole KT is still being used more as a blocker than he is as a weapon unfortunately I just don't know if Chicago is really wanting to utilize kimat in that type of a capacity and that means that he won't be back to his tight end one status anytime soon kylin granson significantly out snaap Drew ogal Tre and mo Ali Cox this past week but none of them are being utilized ogal tree saw one target Mo Ali Cox saw two and granson saw two unfortunately until Anthony Richardson starts looking their way fantasy value isn't there I feel like this video is on repeat now as I go through each matchup telling you there's not really anything to talk about at the tight end position Dalton Schultz should be in a smash position Minnesota is one of the only teams to allow a touchdown and over 100 receiving yards to tight ends this season but at best he's number four four in terms of targets right now tank Dell isn't even getting his yet and until tank Dell does I don't think we can line up Dalton Schultz to have his breakout 2024 performance anytime soon Josh Oliver saw more snaps and more routes run in week one Johnny Mont saw more routes and more snaps in week two so maybe he's starting to move in front of Josh Oliver up to the top of the tight end depth chart but unless his name is TJ hackinson I have no interest in it the only way I would consider John month this week is if for some reason Justin Jefferson were to end up missing but as of right now the quad injury doesn't sound like it's going to hold him out maybe we can get something from Dallas Gard this week it's not an awful matchup AJ Brown may end up missing again but we need to start utilizing him better and for all the struggles that they've had in Philadelphia with the offense since late last season I cannot believe that they've not tried to change things up a little bit so even if his ceiling isn't all that great again being the number two target this week hopefully gives him a pretty decent floor and maybe if they can get in the red zone and find him for a touchdown he can find himself as a top 12 option Foster Moro led the tight ends in New Orleans once again playing 47 snaps but he didn't see any Targets and partly because number one Alvin Kamar had his way he couldn't be stopped number two rased Shahed and Chris alve both had their way as well because of that there wasn't a whole lot left over especially when the lead got to where it was and we weren't necessarily throwing the ball around all that much if New Orleans starts finding themselves in some closer matchups which I do think at some point in time they will Foster Moro may have some fantasy relevance given how much he's on the field Tamm Hill continues to be the same guy start him at your peril Jim Harbaugh loved his tight ends in college but unfortunately they haven't really produced the same way yet during his tenure with the Chargers now maybe at some point they will but Hayden Hurst and will disley basically split snaps this past week they're running the football an awful lot and Justin Herbert continues to utilize the wide receivers so no fantasy relevance here maybe just maybe Pat Fruth gets on track this week now tight ends have been bad really bad to start this season and a whole lot of yards haven't come from them as of yet but the Chargers have allowed the fourth most receptions to tight ends through the first two weeks of the year now last week the Muth only saw nine more snaps than Darnell Washington and only 10 more snaps than Mikel puit and I don't get it I do not understand the philosophy behind not putting him on the field more often but over on Underdog right now you can adjust his line to 19 and A2 receiving yards so why don't we go ahead and toss that into one of our tickets and push the over on it 19 1 12 yards really the MTH only needs a couple of receptions to make that work Justin Fields should be starting once again and hopefully looking his way quite often knowing that this matchup may be a little bit tougher because the Chargers have been good against wide receivers so far this season but if Pat futh is going to become an extended option at the tight end position we can't give him four targets every week he's going to need six plus and more looks in the Red Zone maybe we saw a little bit of life in an underperforming tight end last week in Greg doich who had eight targets from bone Knicks the quality of targets though in Denver right now is not all that great and the offense as a whole is not all that great if I had to roll the dice and I had to put my money on one pass catcher though this week for the Denver Broncos I would probably go to Greg doich Josh Reynolds would be right in that Stratosphere with him but I really feel like with B Knicks they've got to start setting him up to have some more plays that have a higher percentage completion rate than what they're doing right now the issue is Shawn Payton's offense is really outdated and unfortunately defenses just are not thrown off by it for Kate Aon Another 48 snaps 23 routes run and only two Targets it continues to be the same thing for him does Andy Dalton starting in Carolina suddenly make everyone fantasy relevant no it does not but maybe it brings a little bit more upside to a couple of different players jatavian Sanders at some point could end up being that guy he is the lead tight end right now but Tommy Trimble is still technically listed as number one on the depth chart and is still seeing quite a bit of snaps as well so maybe we see some more consistency coming up maybe we see some bigger plays to the tight ends coming up but until we see it a little bit more often at least this week I can't be betting on Carolina I can however bet on Brock Bowers and the Las Vegas Raiders through the first two weeks of the Season Brock Bowers leads all tight ends with 15 targets and it's great to see him utilized by the Las Vegas Raiders but really at at this point we'll take anybody with a pulse at the tight end position maybe there hasn't been a ton of upside with Bowers as of yet that could end up coming but until we see guys with more upside playing Brock Bowers is going to be one of the top tight end options every single week especially in a good matchup like this one y'all ever seen that gift with that woman that takes a drink of her pop and she's like no maybe uh no back and forth that's like the fantasy football equivalent of John new Smith he's start did something this past week it looked good and maybe it continues with Skyler Thompson but we've got to see it and it's got to be something that happens regularly moving forward now this is a good matchup this is a great matchup for Janu Smith to get going against the Seattle Seahawks who have allowed the fifth most receiving yards to tight ends to start the season but if you're starting Janu Smith you're starting him because you literally have no other options that you can be running at the good news is is there may be some owners that drafted him and then dropped him after the first week and he may be available on your waiver wire now so at worst maybe take a stab at him put him on your bench and just hold him for the next couple of weeks to see if Thompson starts looking his way consistently for Seattle Noah Fant really isn't part of the game plan he's out there running around and throwing his arms up trying to get Gino Smith to throw the ball to him but he's like that awkward kid in jym class who does the same thing but no one throws him the ball because we all know he's going to miss it it's just going to hit him in the face the Baltimore Dallas game may bring us the biggest questions all week at the tight end position Mark Andrews did nothing in week one but showed up with a decent statline in week two Isaiah likely blew up in week one but completely disappeared in week two so who's it going to be and can we figure that out let's go ahead and take a look at their current lines over on Underdog to see where the market thinks they may end up Landing this week and right now Isaiah lik is sitting at 342 receiving yards and for Mark Andrews they're giving him a little bit more credit setting his line at 40 and a half receiving yards with the way the tight end position is right now honestly if either of those guys went over those numbers that's a fantasy viable week so for me right now I'm okay running out Mark Andrews and Isaiah likeley not together in the same lineup but if you own one of them chances are you don't have a whole lot of better options is the upside going to be there maybe not like likely was in week one but we are going to start seeing hopefully a better floor for both of these guys Z flower should be the number one Target and then after that it should be Mark Andrews and Isaiah likeley let's stop playing games with Rashad baitman let's stop playing games with Justice Hill let's stop playing games with the rest of them get the ball into the hands of your best Playmakers and two of those best Playmakers are at your tight end position run a bunch of 12 Personnel I don't care get them both on the field get them both five or more targets per game along with Z flowers 10 targets per game that's 15 right there if you're going to throw the ball 25 to 30 times that's still plenty of more to give around but these guys need to be in the game plan and with as bad as tight end is right now let's go ahead and throw either of them out there and let's just hope they get enough volume this week to at least have a safe floor now the question marks in Dallas is going to be about Jake Ferguson and whether or not he'll be available this week personally I don't think Ferguson plays for the second straight week I think he's still a couple of weeks out from being ready to even get back into the game plan Luke scoon maker this week definitely could be a streaming option for us though not an awful week last week but now going up against Baltimore who have allowed 180 receiving yards to tied in so far second most in the league could end up being a really good day for scoon maker maybe not huge upside and maybe he doesn't find The End Zone but if we can get him six or seven Targets in a really good matchup that could be back and forth he should end up having a fantasy viable day and may even crack the top 10 George KD could end up being in for a massive day not only is this a really good matchup against the Rams who have allowed the third most receiving yards and fantasy points to the tight end position but there's no Debo Samuel and there's no Christian mcaffrey he's going to be the main weapon over the middle and hopefully Brandon iuk plays a full workload this week which is just enough to stretch the field and let George KD be open over the middle of the field 891 targets absolutely within the realm of possibility for KD he could end up being the tight end one this week and it could be a massive performance Colby Parkinson looked decent in week one against the Lions a decent amount of targets and put together a good floor for Fantasy owners not anybody was really starting him though but in week two he was an extremely popular knowing that PUK and Thea would for sure be out and then Cooper cup ended up going out and kobby Parkinson had two Targets so what changes this week yeah nkua is out yeah cup is out but he still wasn't utilized last week either and this is a tough matchup going up against San Francisco I don't know if I'm willing to go this route with it if you're looking for a streaming option I would rather chase down a guy like Luke scoon maker if Jake Ferguson is out when people discuss the Jameson Williams breakout season the question was who would have to give up targets but there was enough vacated targets that no one really needed to but then in week one Jamon Williams went off and Amman ra St Brown was nowhere to be found now I did do an all 22 film review of Amman R st Brown after week one showed it to all of our members that's a membership perk if you're not a member think about becoming one by hitting that blue join button down below you get a bunch of extra videos that are not available to the general public and I told everybody don't worry about am and Ross a brown he should have had a huge week one he was missed on a couple of plays he'll bounce back have a huge week two which he did but then people are panicking over Sam laapa now because Sam laapa hasn't done much of anything the first two weeks of the season now I'm not ready to jump ship and I'm not ready to get frustrated over it I'm not ready to panic over Sam laporta if you watch the Detroit Lions they don't look good right now they look Rusty they look like a team that didn't give any snaps to their starters in the preseason it made take another week or two for them to really get going but this is a good offense same game plan that they've had the last couple of years where their offens has looked really really good and Jameson Williams should only help things so give it a couple of more weeks before you panic it's not ideal but Sam laor will end up getting back on track and should be just fine for the rest of the season if you're looking for a safe tight end it it's got to be Trey McBride right now he's the number two Target on this team behind Marvin Harrison Jr and if Marvin Harrison Jr is getting locked down Trey McBride is the number one target there's not a whole lot of tight ends out there that you can probably trust as much as you can trust Trey McBride this could end up being a tougher matchup I am worried about the Lions my lions in Arizona this week Arizona has a shot to beat them it's going to take a little bit of offense to do it and if that happens Trey McBride should end up having a really solid day the Atlanta Falcons have been pretty darn good against wide receivers to begin the season that could mean a tough matchup for Rashid rice and Xavier you're worthy which hopefully means a good matchup for Travis Kelce and they end up getting him back into the game plan the way that we used to see Travis Kelce utilize I'm not ready to give up on him as of yet and I know he's a frustrating tight end to own right now especially for the draft Capital that you've invested in him I'm going to do a film breakdown on him for members over the weekend and we're going to talk a little bit more about Travis Kelce and see what is popping up on the film but really I think they just need to change up the game plan a little bit I think they need to actually force him the ball a little bit more than what they have been and allow him to make some plays this could end up being a week with the tough matchups for the wide receivers that we get back to seeing the Travis Kelce of old now maybe it's not the Travis Kelce that goes for two touchdowns and over a 100 yards but you know what give me 70 75 yards six or seven catches and we'll call it good Travis but on the other side of the ball for the Atlanta Falcons Kyle Pitts is going to be my manscape must start of the week now now the key to unlocking this offense is going to be utilizing Kyle pittz this week going up against the Kansas City Chiefs who have allowed the fifth most fantasy points and receiving yards to the tight end position so far but here's the thing if you're looking to unlock your potential you got to start with manscaped and all of the awesome tools that they own to help your grooming needs and right now if you use code word Headliners 20 over at manscape.com when you check out you'll get 20% off your entire order and free shipping and trust me we've been with manscape for a while they've got everything that you need Kansas City even without lerus need is still doing a pretty darn good job against wide receivers on the outside Kyle pittz needs to come up with a big day yeah he had the touchdown in week one but we need to get more consistent touchdowns and volume going his way and this could be the kickoff to a stretch of games now that Kurt Cousins looks a whole lot better or Kyle Pitts finally gets going for Fantasy owners in fact I'm liking Kyle Pitt so much this week I'm going to head on over to Underdog and place a ticket with him to score a touchdown give me that 1.68 multiplier and let's put together a solid ticket and boost our winnings any analysis of Evan Ingram is going to have to wait because as of right now there's no clear picture on whether or not he will play this week and I really don't feel like even with the way the tight end position is that I'm rolling out Britain strange so let's go ahead and save it and we'll wait to see if Evan Ingram ends up playing and we'll be talking about it later in the week during the ranking show or on Saturday or Sunday's live show to give you some more information on whether or not we'll roll with Evan Ingram but because he's on Monday Night Football we may not know until it's too late and need to be looking for other options now for Dalton King Kade and Dawson Knox the matchup doesn't look great but realistically when you dive into the numbers It's really because the tight ends have only been targeted seven times this season in two weeks so they really haven't had an opportunity to give up anything to the tight ends as of yet dalan con k needs to get going I don't know what's going on with him in this offense and I don't know why you draft a player like dalan conc and don't give him consistent targets but it's happening unfortunately this could end up being a tough week for him but again we don't know a whole lot about whether or not this Jacksonville defense is actually good at stopping the tight end dlan K Kade could be the number one target this week however the matchup for the wide receivers is really really good Jacksonville hasn't done a good job against wide receivers so the targets could end up going their way and DL concade could get shut out again at least the Washington and Cincinnati matchup brings us some promise at the tight end position especially with Zack Herz and Mike aeki now Zack Herz may not have a ton of upside but give that guy five targets a week if you do that he still has some playmaking ability in those legs he had a catch for over 20 yards this past week if we can at least get him some consistent targets you could do a whole lot worse than what Zack Herz would do and he may still be out there on your waiver wire right now in fact if you own Evan Ingram Zack SS would be the best option for you because now you can wait till Monday to see what happens with Ingram and replace him with hers if you need to now Washington has only allowed five yards to tight ends through the first two games which is not great but that may also be because the wide receivers continue to go off against them we'll see what happens this week with t Higgins that's going to be the biggest determining Factor on whether or not we want to roll with Mike gaseki because if T Higgins can play Mike keki may go back to being a little bit more on the irrelevant side especially if they're going to run the football a little bit more with Zach Moss this week but if there's no T Higgins Mike aeki could definitely have some upside this week and see a statline very similar to what he had in week two but hell inter Nation I know it's tough right now with the tight end position and really honestly next year we should get rid of the tight end position and just make an extra Flex spot where you could play a tight end if you want to or play another running back or a wide receiver but hey take with that what you will we're going to keep evaluating tight ends because the tight end whisper cannot give up on the position I basically made it but headliner Nation I'm going to go ahead and call it there cuz I get get wide receivers and quarterbacks done for you in week three as well hit the like button subscribe if you're new here and make sure those Bell notifications are on if you haven't done so yet so anytime new content comes out you'll know about it right away but for now headliner Nation I'm out stay safe stay healthy and I'll catch you all on the next episode of the fantasy headliners [Music]"}]
