🔥 WEEK 3 QB MUST Start/Sit Picks! 🚀 | 2024 Fantasy Football Advice
right now our top 12 fantasy quarterbacks include Baker Mayfield at number one Derek Carr at number two Gino Smith at number n and Sam darnold at number 10 the unpredictable NFL strikes [Music] again yo what's going on headliner Nation hopefully everybody watching this video right now is not suffering from injuries all that much but with as many as that there have been I wouldn't be shocked if you're looking through your lineups trying to figure out the optimal setup to give you a fantasy Victory this week and if you're looking for some help at the quarterback position you have come to the right place whether you're new here or you just need a quick refresher our start and sit videos can be utilized to give you all the knowledge necessary to make the best decisions for your lineup and to kick things off we always take a look at defensive matchup and then we give you a defensive matchup rating right below each player's name we want to know how many yards touchdown and fantasy points are allowed to that position and then we assign a risk designation allowing you to make the decision on how much risk you can take in your lineup this week are you shooting for tremendous upside even though the floor is super low then maybe a highrisk guy is for you or maybe you just need some safe points this week and you decide to go with a guy that has a lowrisk rating but his ceiling isn't nearly as high and one thing I know for certain there's potentially a whole lot of risk associated with Thursday night football and kicking it off with jacobe brassette there's not a lot of upside with him right now the Patriots offensive game plan is to run the football and then set jacobe brassett up with high leverage throws that's it we're not throwing it down the field we're not going deep we're not looking for big plays we're moving the ball and pounding it at the defense really Jacobi brette should only be considered as a quarterback two and superflex or two QB leagues he's going to have some okay games he's going to have some bad games he's not going to have many great games Aaron Rogers still doesn't look 100% healthy to me which is crazy because apparently he could have played in the playoffs last year I don't know if I'm buying into that but so far this season you've definitely been able to tell kind of the up and down in his performances and you've been able to tell about how he moves in the pocket just how he feels about his comfort level right now but this Patriot secondary gave up a huge touchdown to DK meta last week even if it was the only touchdown they've allowed through the air so far Jackson Smith and jiga also a big week last week and if Gino Smith can light them up Aaron roders definitely should have a safe floor the only thing holding him back right now is how healthy he feels Giants fans last week I tried hyping up your boy Daniel Jones I wanted to see Mite neighbors have a big day and that ended up happening but I'm not going with Daniel Jones this week in fact Daniel Jones is going to be my Mando must avoid this week and I'm avoiding Daniel Jones the same way I want to avoid unwanted odor during the football season and with Mando's clinically proven formula you can eliminate odors for up to 72 hours which if you're watching Daniel Jones play football you need as much Mando as possible if you head on over to shop Mando right now and use code word Headliners at checkout you can get their starter pack for $5 off which is 40% off off the price like I said I hyped up Daniel Jones last week I wanted to see Malik neighbors go off and it ended up happening Daniel Jones did have two touchdowns but he didn't even throw for 200 yards against one of the worst secondaries in the league and now going up against the Cleveland Browns it could end up being a rough day for Daniel Jones once again and honestly I don't know if the quarterback play from the other sideline will be much better this week Deshawn Watson still not impressed with anything that he's doing he ran for a touch down last week but he only threw for 186 yards he's averaging 5.5 yards per completion and he still has more interceptions than touchdowns this year I feel like when you have Amari Cooper on your team with Jerry Judy and Elijah Moore even some of the worst quarterbacks in the league could potentially do more than what Deshawn Watson has done up to this point personally I don't want anything to do with DeShawn Watson until he can show us multiple games of top tier performance I know Green Bay keeps talking like Jordan love will be coming back but even in a matchup this tough against the Tennessee secondary I don't know if it would be worth it to run him out there in his first week back and for Malik Willis if he does end up playing I mean he played a lot better than we expected last week but the matchup was way better than it is this week Tennessee right now is allowing the fourth fewest passing yards to quarterbacks and some people might say Hey what if we used Malik Willis because of how he ran the football last week well Caleb will Wills couldn't get outside the pocket and make anything happen against this Tennessee defense last week they get on you they get on you fast they're good in coverage and unfortunately for Malik Willis I'm just not seeing a whole lot of upside this week and if it's Jordan love there may be some decent upside but the floor may be really low so far will Levis is basically what we talked about this off season he's going to have some big plays he's got the big arm for it but other than that his decision making has been pretty poor so far this season and that's what makes him such a high risk yeah one big throw down the field to Calvin Ridley can change the day and make him a suitable fantasy quarterback but if he also throws two interceptions and some awful completions it makes his ceiling that much lower and his floor really really tough to try and deal with Caleb Williams is off to a tough start this season no touchdowns two interceptions and a qbr of 23.9 ranked 30th among quarterbacks right now but this is a type of matchup where we need to see the growth this is the type of matchup where he needs to get going Indianapolis gave up quite a bit of fantasy points and yards to wide receivers against Houston in week one but going up against Malik Willis and Green Bay last week there wasn't really a whole lot to deal with in the passing game they only attempted 15 passes so while this matchup could end up being pretty decent it's all about how Caleb Williams progresses and right now he's still a high risk to have a good week but if it's going to start happening this would be the week and this would be the matchup where we at least start to see some of that growth if it wasn't for Anthony Richardson's rushing upside he would be a highrisk play for me this week he's still going to be a start but this is a really tough matchup Chicago took care of will Levis in week one and even in week two played CJ strad very very tough Anthony Richardson needs to get going over the middle of the field right now his accuracy is extremely off and it's no shock it was a point of emphasis coming out of the draft and then sitting for basically the entire year last year it's not shocking that over the middle of the field he's just not as good as he would like to be the Deep play is where they have thrived the last couple of weeks and unfortunately three interceptions don't look good for Anthony Richardson make sure you take care of the ball don't throw any picks take advantage of open receivers when you find them and utilize your legs this week to keep a really nice floor if you start slinging the ball all over and making a lot of poor decisions then fantasy owners are not going to love the outcome right now Minnesota is allowing the third fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks but they're allowing the fourth most passing yards Bend but don't break and they're bending an awful lot right now and if you're facing CJ strad you better stop bending and you better start stopping them because CJ strad is the perfect quarterback to start taking advantage of that if you allow Houston to have long drives and you allow CJ stad to stay out on the field working your defense you're going to get worn down you're not going to be able to keep up with all these receivers and he's going to find the end zone sooner or later and as much as I like Nico Collins and the Revenge game from Stefon Diggs against his former team I absolutely could see CJ strout having a huge Day so a majority of the fantasy points that have been allowed by Houston the quarterback so far are based off two big passes from Anthony Richardson without that they've been pretty consistent at stopping the pass so far and I don't want to take anything away from Sam darnold who's currently the QB 10 but I don't know if this is the matchup where we see that start to the season continue he played well against the 49ers last week but I mentioned it in the quarterback video that's his former team he practiced against that defense all season long and because of that he was familiar with it and there was an opportunity for him to exploit that I expect Houston's defense to be much tougher this week maybe not how they held Caleb Williams down last week but definitely not as big as what they did with Anthony Richardson a couple of weeks ago Justin Jefferson will get his and outside of that I don't know if Sam darnold will be able to get the ball to enough of the other receivers to give him anything more than a decent qb2 ceiling this week should Jaylen Herz be a lowrisk player right now at the quarterback position maybe and he's probably closer to lowrisk than he is high-risk but giving a medium risk designation right now I think fits what we've seen from him in this offense so far it definitely doesn't look like it's firing on all cylinders yet but also he's going to be a medium risk this week because we need to show a little respect to the New Orleans defense who absolutely smacked Dallas last week and has been very good to start the season now they haven't given up a ton of fantasy points but they've given up a ton of passing yards and really that's because both teams they've played have been in a negative game script essentially the entire game all they could do is pass the ball but New Orleans defense also has four interceptions in two games and you're going to be without AJ Brown once again it's not going to be an easy matchup this week for Jaylen Herz and I definitely expect to see some up and downs from drive to drive from him which definitely makes him a little bit riskier than what we're used to and maybe Derek Carr should be a low-risk play as well he's the quarterback two on the season right now and Philadelphia secondary doesn't look all that improved now obviously with younger players that you've drafted it's going to take a little bit of time but what about CJ Gardner Johnson that dude still sucks and Derek Carr is still going to be a top 1550 option for me and should be considered a starter in a majority of fantasy leagues but we've seen this with Derek Carr he looks like he's on the precipice of being a top 10 fantasy quarterback but then he throws in these bad games where you just don't anticipate it and you don't see it coming and based on the stats that Philadelphia has allowed so far this should be a good game for Derek Carr but once again will it be one of those bad games that he just seems to toss in out of nowhere we know Pittsburgh is going to do a really good job getting after the quarterback and the matchup meter right now doesn't look great for Justin Herbert but keep in mind Pittsburgh face Kurt Cousins in week one his first game back after his Achilles tear last year and then Bo Knicks in game two so I'm not willing to go high risk with Justin Herbert right now but this Pittsburgh defense and TJ watt do make it tough to just say that he's a low-risk start Justin Herbert looks comfortable in his new offense and we should still see some big plays from him I just don't know if his ceiling is as high as some of the guys that we talk about today the LA Chargers so far this season have allowed the fewest fantasy points to the quarterback position now that's been to Gardner mshu and Bryce young so they still have some tougher tests ahead of them but a healthy Chargers defense has always been seen as one that could be very good under the right leadership and Jesse Minter is the right leadership for this Chargers offense Justin Fields is the confirmed starter already and he's going to get another opportunity to show that he should be the starter over over Russell Wilson but the ceiling hasn't quite been there for him for Justin Fields definitely could see him picking up some yards on the ground when you have a pass rush like KH Mack and Joey Bosa sometimes it allows you to get out and get down the field and pick up a few yards with your feet but I don't know if the upside through the passing game is going to Warrant even taking a look at him as a starter right now this Tampa Bay defense is one of two defenses to not allow a passing touchdown as of yet and that's facing Kyler Murray and Jared gof they may give up the seventh most passing yards but when it comes to getting towards the red zone They tighten up and they do not allow opposing teams to throw the ball in the end zone Nicks has not been good the first couple of games of the season four interceptions a 57% completion percentage and a qbr that's 32.1 he's throwing the ball an awful lot and because of that some volume is building up but they're not quality targets and going up against this defense that's played so well the first couple of weeks I just don't see Bon Knicks having the Breakout game in week three Baker Mayfield is the quarterback one in fantasy football and I'm rooting for the bake show after getting tossed aside by the Cleveland Browns and them trading for Deshawn Watson it's great to see a story like this he's reinvented himself he's comfortable now and he's got great weapons around him he's got to face Patrick rain this week and that can make things really difficult and the Broncos have allowed the seventh fewest passing yards so far this season he's gonna have to spread the ball around Mike Evans is not going to be his go-to this week we got to get Chris Godwin involved maybe Kate uton for the first time but if they do that it could still end up being a pretty decently solid day even though his ceiling is not as high as what we've seen the first couple of weeks the only leagues that you should be considering Andy Dalton in are two quarterback or super Flex leagues if you're in a one QB League that is 14 teams or less and you're taking a shot on Andy Dalton you have bigger problems this week do I think he could potentially be more fantasy viable than Bryce young absolutely he's got a little bit of a bigger arm right now and he's a veteran presence on a team that doesn't have a whole lot of leadership on offense but I also don't think that he solves the entire problem in Carolina we'll see what happens over the next couple of weeks and if he does then we know it's a Bryce young issue and if he doesn't then we know that there's bigger issues at play and unfortunately Bryce young is getting a lot of heat that maybe he doesn't deserve all of Carolina's the second most passing touchdowns this year but they have allowed the 11th fewest passing yards and it's because teams will throw the ball and score early on them and then just run the rest of the way which is what could limit Gardner menu's upside does he have a decent floor yeah absolutely in a matchup like this he does have a decent floor but let's say he throws a touchdown in the first quarter with 180 yards but the defense plays well for Las Vegas and they're up by two two two three scores or something like that if that ends up happening it's just going to be a lot of running the football in the second half and all of that upside that we would hope for basically disappears and he goes from having a really really good day to having just an okay day because he's not really utilized in the second half Skyler Thompson would have been a risky start regardless of what defense he played but now he gets one of the best secondaries in all of football and one of the best pass defenses through the first two weeks of the Season he's an absolute no this week is he going to be awful maybe not but he's going to be closer to Awful than he is great maybe the Gino Smith of a couple of years ago is back the comeback player of the year that everybody was rooting for took a little bit of a dip last season but he has looked really good after a big game against the Patriots last week but Miami's defense who have played Jacksonville and buffalo so far are still allowing the fourth fewest passing yards to opposing quarterbacks so while Gino Smith has looked good so far this may not be the match up where that continues and he takes another small step back before they get going again later in the season Baltimore has had a couple of tough losses to begin the season and Lamar Jackson is still the quarterback five in fantasy football regardless of those outcomes and now he gets a Dallas defense that what do we expect from them do they play like they did in week one or do they play like they did in week two when they got smacked around by the New Orleans Saints and Derek Carr jumped all the way up to quarterback 2 because of that performance performance it could end up going either way is Lamar Jackson a top five quarterback this week maybe not if he uses his legs enough absolutely but just passing alone I think you take a look at Lamar Jackson and say yeah we can lock in a top 12 week pretty easy and if Dallas actually shows up maybe that upside is just a little bit lower than what we would like the Baltimore Ravens have allowed the most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks this season and you would think that would make Dak Prescott an easy lowrisk start this week but the turnovers the interceptions the bad interceptions have to stop especially in games when Dallas finds themselves in a position where they're trying to come from behind he's got to stop making poor decisions and because there is that turnover potential I'm going to put him as a medium risk this week because depending on what Baltimore does and depending on what this Dallas defense does after last week he could get back on track but he also could find himself down and have some of those stupid interceptions once again Brock pie should have been set up for a really nice game here but unfortunately when you're losing Deo Samuel and Christian mcaffrey once again this week it makes the range of outcomes a little bit larger than what we would like the Rams have allowed the third most fantasy points and the ninth most passing yards to quarterback so far this season and Brock pry would be in great shape as a lowrisk start this week even if we had at least Debo Samuel but those are two really major weap weapons and Jordan Mason should have another good day so I think some of that ceiling that we would have hoped for from Brock pie this week is unfortunately not going to be there even if the floor isn't all that bad in week one the San Francisco secondary did a pretty decent job of keeping the Jets in check they gave up quite a bit in garbage time but outside of that there wasn't a whole lot in week two against Minnesota if it wasn't for a 97 yard touchdown pass to Justin Jefferson they did a pretty decent job of keeping the Vikings in check for the majority of the game their offense definitely is prone to giving up some big plays but I'm not 100% sure I'm banking on a bunch of big plays this week from Matthew Stafford to a bunch of seist wide receivers no pukan neua and no Cooper cup definitely hurts and if you're trying to run Matthew Stafford out in a one quarterback League I might take a shot at somebody else this week that offers you some more upside right now Arizona has allowed the fourth most fantasy points to the quarterback position but really it's because of two rushing touchdowns that they've allowed outside of that those fantasy points actually starts coming down a little bit more and let's not kid ourselves Jared G is not running for any touchdowns this week when you take a look at the Detroit offense and what we've seen over the first couple of weeks of the season it's not great it looks stiff they don't look as creative as they did last season and they just don't seem to have that get up and go it's going to come the offensive line has been a little rusty to begin Jared G certainly isn't making some of the throws that he's used to making and this Detroit offense will get going at some point in time but for right now Jared golf is probably a little too risky to be trying to roll out there and one quarterback leaks and this match up against Arizona does not look nearly as easy as it may have a few weeks ago so Jared G is going to need to be on his aame if Detroit's going to come out with a victory Detroit's secondary looks young they've allowed the fifth most passing yards in the NFL so far it's going to take some time for them to get their feet under them and then really start to becoming a cohesive unit and this week against Kyler Murray especially after the game that Marvin Harrison Jr had last week they absolutely could end up giving quite a few passing yards up once again but one area that I like Kyler Murray is to score a rushing touchdown and I'm actually heading on over to Underdog to lock that in right now because one thing you've seen from Detroit's defense over the first couple of weeks they are getting to the backfield Aiden Hutchinson already has five and 1 half sacks on the season other guys are getting in the back field but they're not quite finishing Hutch probably missed another three sacks in week one the guy would be at almost 10 but that allows quarterbacks to get out of the pocket and when you're as explosive on the ground as Kyler Murray is if they can't Hammer home that sack and they can't bring him down he's going to pick up some rushing yards on the ground and when they get in the Red Zone Kyler Murray is going to be a threat to score with his feet last week Patrick mahom mes had the second fewest passing yards in a game ever for his career and the matchup this week is not going to get any easier against the Atlanta Falcons who have been very good to start I definitely see him bouncing back he should be much better this week than what he was last week and one area that he can really utilize to make sure that he reaches this ceiling is rushing because even though the Atlanta Falcons have allowed the seventh fewest passing yards to begin the season they have allowed the six most fantasy points and one of the reasons why is because they've allowed the most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks over 140 rushing yards over the first two weeks of the season so as long as Patrick Mahomes maintains a really steady game through the air there may be an opportunity for him to pick up some yards on the ground which would help raise the ceiling up that we would be losing in case he does have an interception or maybe doesn't throw for as many yards as we would want in this matchup Kansas City's defense has allowed the second most fantasy points to opposing quarterback so far this season so it feels like Kurt cousin would be a smash start just because of that however that's against Lamar Jackson and Joe burrow those are some pretty decent quarterbacks that you got to start against Kurt Cousins still looks Rusty at times and he even said heading into week two that he didn't feel 100% as of yet and it showed they ended up pulling off that upset they ended up looking really good towards the end of the game but when Kurt Cousins moves you can still tell that he doesn't feel really comfortable yet and Kansas City's defense is going to make him uncomfortable in the pocket he's going to have to move around and he's going to be able to extend the play a little bit and if he can't do that there's going to be some risk for an interception or maybe some bad throws in this matchup Kurt Cousins is getting back there and by the end of the season he's going to end up being fine but there are still going to be some throws that just make you question whether or not he feels like himself yet Trevor Lawrence has not made a ton of mistakes to start the season and after interceptions plagued his season last year he doesn't have any interceptions yet and he needs to keep going down that path but the one thing I also don't see is just a ton of upside with him he is taking some shots but maybe he's playing it a little bit safer right now maybe he's trying to play a little bit safer at the start of the year so he's not making as many mistakes sometimes you got to go out and you got to rip it and you can't be too worried about throwing interceptions because at that point you don't take some of the shots that you need to in order to win games Trevor Lawrence still has a lot of potential ceiling to find this year the floor not so bad so far but we need a little bit more so Jacksonville's defense has only allowed one passing touchdown through the first two games that's great but they've allowed the most passing yards of any defense in the league so far and right now over on Underdog Josh Allen's passing line is set at 2425 passing yards absolutely lock me into the over at that point Buffalo coming off of a big game last week you didn't really see him take advantage in the air all that much because James Cook had such a good game but this week going up against Jacksonville I absolutely could see Josh Allen eclipsing 250 passing yards to lock this ticket in for you it's good that there's two matchups on Monday night football this week because Washington and Cincinnati may be unwatchable by halftime Cincinnati's defense just allowed the second fewest passing yards in a game to Patrick Mahomes and in his career and now they get Jaden Daniels who unfortunately just has not been able to find his footing in the passing game as of yet and while they will end up getting better this may not be the matchup where it happens I mean just take a look at Terry McClaren last week eight targets six receptions and only 22 receiving yards there's just not a lot of upside in the passing game now Jaden Daniels is a medium risk and not a high risk because of his feet and what he can do on the ground and likely he's going to pick up 50 60 yards and have an opportunity to score that's really going to help save his day but this is one of the worst pass defenses and maybe one of the worst overall defenses in all of football Dan Quinn does a really good job as a defensive coordinator but he can't fix this mess overnight Joe burrow over on Underdog right now has a line of 247.5kg in the first half and Cincinnati just runs the ball the rest of the way I'm going to take the over though I think Cincinnati wants to have a good showing and I think they need to have a good showing and I don't know if they're going to take their foot off the pedal the entire game yo headliner Nation there you have it starting sit shows for the week are
