🔥 WEEK 1 TE MUST Start/Sit Picks! 🚀 | 2024 Fantasy Football Advice
listen the fantasy Headliners content may be on YouTube and not on only fans but I can guarantee you one thing ain't nobody better with a tight end than [Music] us yo what is going on headliner Nation week one of the NFL season is here and we've already done our start and sit analysis for the wide receivers and the running backs but now it's time to talk about the tight ends and if you happen to miss those two videos then let me give you just a quick breakdown on how the start and sit videos will work this season this year we're really diving in to the risk of any player at any point in time cuz ultimately it's your decision whether to start or sit a player and you're going to make that decision based on a lot of factors that we can't take into account here like your league size the rest of your roster the matchup that you have your scoring settings so we're aiming to give you as much information as possible about every single matchup and then at that point you can decide are you able to accept the risk of some of these players and still put them in your lineup or do you need to be a little bit more safe and go with somebody that offers you less risk this week when you see the defensive matchups at the bottom of the screen anytime you see an eggplant Emoji you know that that is going to be an awesome matchup and then we're also going to designate each player with a lowrisk medium risk or highrisk setting and if your starting tight end is designated as a high-risk player it doesn't mean that you necessarily need to sit them you just need to temper your expectations for the week and listen we need to prove that we have the best community on YouTube if this is not your first time watching our videos here I need you to hit the like button right away so we can prove to YouTube that our community is coming in and our are watching our videos as quickly as possible and if this is your first time watching one of our videos then save your like till the end but if you appreciate the content and you think you'll be back hit the like button then and let us know in the comments here we go matchup number one on the week we are going to take a look at Baltimore at Kansas City on Thursday night football with two of the best tight ends in the league Kansas City may have been one of the toughest defenses in all of football last year for tight ends to score fantasy points but I'm still betting on Mark Andrews this week he's the safety blanket for Lamar Jackson and we know that this secondary is super tough maybe he doesn't have the biggest upside in the world this week but he definitely has one of the safest floors at the tight end position given his relationship with his quarterback and where they view him within their offense I Know Travis Kelsey burnt a lot of fantasy owners last season but you can only blame yourselves you were spending a late first round pick or maybe an early second round pick on him now his ADP has settled back you're probably getting him somewhere in the third round and we are expecting a huge bounceback season with the speed that they have on the outside now with Xavier worthy and Maris Brown when he comes back from injury plus the sure hands of rasid rice in the slot Travis Kelce is going to see a ton of one-on-one matchups and more than likely they're going to be against linebackers or Zone coverage Travis Kelce will tear that apart and the consistency that we saw the couple of years prior to last season will end up coming back and he will be a top fantasy contributor once again and we can't be the only ones excited for a Travis Kelce bounceback this season because Underdog is doing a special Travis Kelce pick them this week 0.5 yards is the line it is an absolute gimme for all new and existing users on their app right now so if you're not already on Underdog head on over to their app download it create a free account using code word Headliners and deposit at least $10 not only will you get that Travis Kelce pick them to use up on Thursday Night Football but you'll also get another special pick them that's almost guaranteed to hit and a deposit bonus of up to ,000 for using Code Headliners when you get signed up right now is the absolute best time to join us over there and start nailing some of these pick thems in putting a little bit in your wallet as well Green Bay in Philadelphia will be kicking off on Friday night in Brazil this week and for the Green Bay tight ends there are a lot of question marks for me Luke Musgrave was obviously the higher drafted tight end and had a lot more potential last season unfortunately he dealt with some injuries but even before that he wasn't really utilized it was Tucker craft that was actually utilized way more often down the stretch in fact from the time that Luke Musgrave got injured till the end of the season Tucker craft was a top 10 tight end will that continue in 2024 or will Luke Musgrave take back over as the tight end one again now Philadelphia's secondary was way better against tight ends than they were wide receivers but that's saying an awful lot because they still weren't that great against tight ends they definitely have revamped that secondary but it's not the secondary that worries me this week it's which one of these tight ends will actually be the main guy we're definitely going to need to keep an eye on it Tucker craft from week 12 through 18 was the tight end 8 Luke Musgrave did absolutely nothing last season so does he come right back to the top or are they going to continue to give Tucker craft an opportunity based on how he performed med last year I really like Dallas Goddard or Dallas godair if you're feeling fancy I just don't like him in 2024 right now he feels like he's potentially the number four option in this offense for me AJ Brown and Devonte Smith will likely be number one and number two however they did add Jan Dodson via trade and you have Squan Barkley who even though I don't think he'll see a ton of volume in the passing game I still think he sees more than what recently we've seen from the running back position in Philadelphia it will be interesting to see exactly where Dallas GD is on the totem pole last year Green Bay did a pretty good job of stopping tight ends when it came to their receptions and receiving yards but they gave up eight touchdowns to tit end last year which was tied for third most in the league Dallas got her a lot of risk for me this week I do feel like he has to score to be fantasy viable and if he doesn't he's probably going to have one of those days where you really wish that you had a backup tight end in His Place Pittsburgh at Atlanta would have been the perfect matchup for the MTH this week but unfortunately I think there's a lot of question marks about how Arthur Smith is going to be utilizing him and if there's one thing that Arthur Smith is good at it's creating a lot of questions about how he uses his Personnel heading into the preseason It Felt Like Pat FR really had had the opportunity to be the number two Target on this Pittsburgh offense however when the preseason got here we saw Pat Fruth regulated to almost a tight end three position on his own team during preseason games Darnell Washington and Michel puit were utilized in two tight end sets and they didn't bring Pat firw back onto the field until three tight end sets were utilized so the big question becomes s when they're not running with any tight ends or just one tight end will Pat futh be that guy or will he be chipped outside into the slot that's what we really have to find out over the next couple of weeks if he's not really being looked at is a weapon within this offense then that's going to spell disaster for any fantasy owner that invested in him Pat FR Us best ability is in the red zone he creates mismatches there and he would be perfect for Russell when they get into that position but Arthur Smith didn't make any sense with how he ran the Atlanta Falcons last year or maybe even the year before that do we really want to bet on Arthur Smith making any sense this year with Pittsburgh only time will tell I am however feeling really good about Kyle pittz in week one going up against Pittsburgh we know Pittsburgh has a really good pass rush and that TJ watt is going to be getting after Kurt Cousins the biggest issue for me is that Kurt Cousins coming back from that Achilles injury last year hasn't had any game action and he might be a little bit Rusty and mentally he might not be prepared to be moving around in the pocket and extending plays if that's the case we're getting the ball out quickly and that's where Kyle Pitts would be a huge asset to the offense Pittsburgh's defense struggled in the Red Zone against tight ends last season and that's where Kyle pittz could end up being a monster this week for Atlanta do I think it's going to be huge volume maybe not I think there's going to be some targets that just aren't catchable and not great based on the fact that Kurt Cousins is working off that rust and getting himself back to game speed but if they can move the ball down the field and get themselves in a position to score I'm willing to bet that Kyle Pitts will be taking a look at before a lot of the other guys Arizona and buffalo have a couple of great young tight ends in this matchup with Trey McBride who's looking to build on a breakout campaign in 2023 and then Dalton Kincade who is looking to have his breakout campaign here in 2024 and Trey McBride week one definitely has a great opportunity to be the number two Target on this team maybe even Target number one I love Marvin Harrison JR this week and I do think he's going to see plenty of targets but Trey McBride could push him for that spot Trey McBride this week is going to be a safety blanket for Kyler Murray who may have trouble finding some open wide receivers outside of Marvin Harrison Jr if that happens Trey McBride is going to be the guy last season Buffalo they had a little bit of issues stopping tight ends in the red zone They gave up quite a few touchdowns to them this week Trey McBride has a great shot to find the end zone as well maybe the volume doesn't lead to a ton of fantasy upside but the touchdown would if the Buffalo wide receivers are having issues getting open this weekend and Josh and just can't connect with them look for him to pinpoint Dalton concade more times than not concade could end up being the leading wide receiver this week and I put wide receiver in quotes because it's possible that we see him out in the slot quite a bit and not just necessarily lining up on the in line where Dawson Knox may be but it's the work inside the red zone that could really help taking dalon concade from being a safe start to a high upside play as well but it's also what could lead Dawson Knox to being a touchdown dependent play this week too because last season Arizona allowed the second most touchdowns to opposing tight ends Dawson Knox and Dal concade both have a great opportunity this week Dawson Knox super touchdown dependent donin Cade definitely the much safer option unfortunately the Tennessee in the Chicago matchup may not bring us a ton of value at the tight end position chioko popular breakout candidate last season didn't end up doing anything and this season he is extremely touchdown dependent now if for some reason after this video comes out it's announced that DeAndre Hopkins would not be playing this week chioko may get a little bit of a boost but he wasn't really utilized appropriately in this offense last season and I don't know if Will Levis is even going to be looking his way even in the Red Zone if you're looking for a dart throw at the tight end position for me chioko a little bit too much of a high risk here I would definitely be looking for a dart throw that could give me some more volume the Chicago Bears tight ends may have a little bit of an issue with the Tennessee defense this week last season Tennessee's defense was really good against opposing tight ends allowing the third fewest fantasy points and the second fewest touchdowns to the tight ends while allowing the six fewest yards but now the bigger concern con ered than that is the fact that we don't even know who the primary tight end in Chicago is going to be it's going to be really really tough to run two tight end sets and leave Romo dun on the sideline I'm expecting a lot of three wide receiver sets which means we're probably only going to see one tight end on the field at the time I was already worried about Cole KT knowing that they had upgraded the wide receiver position so significantly with DJ Moore already in tow and then adding enan Allen and Romo dun but now it looks like Gerald Everett could end up being the primary pass catcher at the tight end position leaving Cole KT to block more times than not I'm going to go ahead and just skip on the Chicago tight ends completely unless there's an injury or for some reason we find significant value in just one of these guys for New England in Cincinnati my hope is is that Hunter Henry is the main target this week we definitely saw last season where in the Red Zone they tried to get him involved but they just weren't including him on a consistent enough basis maybe jacobe Brett is going to be the guy to finally get Hunter Henry going again last season Cincinnati allowed the second highest receiving yards and the fourth highest fantasy points to the tight end position so we definitely have an opportunity for Hunter Henry this week given the fact and Cincinnati's defense really isn't all that better than what it was last season I definitely could see Hunter Henry making an impact knowing that there's a lot of wide receivers right now that are all vying for Targets on the outside when Hunter Henry could be the guy over the middle to help open that up I think Mike keki is going to end up making an impact this season for the Cincinnati Bengals but for this week he's going to be my Mando must aoid player of the week at the tight end position and just like I'm trying to help you all avoid Mike geki this week Mando helps us all avoid unwanted odors with their clinically proven formula that fights odors for up to 72 hours and right now you can get your hands on their starter pack over at shop.com all you need to do is use code word Headliners when buying their starter pack and you get 40% off the price last season New England allowed the fewest fantasy points fewest touchdowns and the second fewest receiving yards to the tight end position position they were very very strong this is Mike ki's first season with Cincinnati and if we knew for sure that maybe Jamar Chase wasn't going to play this week because he wants that contract then I would say Mike keki we probably need to lock him in for some targets but with t Higgins and Jamar Chase both out there and of course running the football with Chase Brown and Zach Moss potentially some dump offs to chase Brown as well I cannot get on board with Mike keki knowing that this is such a tough matchup for him this could have been a really good matchup for Houston's Dalton Schultz going up against Indianapolis who allowed the 10th most receiving yards to tight end last season but tit end very rarely found the end zone against Indianapolis and really that's what Dalton Schultz is going to have to rely on this year right now he has to be number four in the pecking order Stefon Diggs tank Dell Nico Collins all three of those guys have to be ahead of him in terms of targets then they're still going to run the ball with Joe Mixon so it's not going to leave a whole lot left over for Dalton Schultz he's going to have some good weeks but unfortunately I think he's going to have more bad weeks this year hey come here real quick you want a super sneaky play this week let's go ahead and take kylin granson to score a touchdown maybe you want to use him in DFS maybe you just want to make a pick him over on Underdog with us now I may not be putting kylin Grant in my fantasy lineup but I do think he could find The End Zone this week Houston allowed the fifth most receiving yards to tight ends last season and it wouldn't shock me if Anthony Richardson who's coming back from his injury last year still shaking off some of that rust and may have some issues with either confidence or accuracy this week wouldn't look to his tight end a little bit more often now when we take a look at what the outcome of ranges could be for kylin granson it could be that he get absolutely no work whatsoever but he is the primary tight end now over the past few years the Colts have really rotated their tight ends but with galani Woods missing the rest of the season kylin granson looks like he is in Prime position to be the main tight end this year and if that happens he's going to be on the field way more often and have a lot more opportunity for volume this may be a shot in the dark this week but the tight end Whisperer feels it down in his plum Jacksonville and Miami are on the complete opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to their tight end position Jacksonville may have one of the safest tight ends in all of fantasy football Miami may have one of the biggest Boomer bus tight ends in all of football last season Miami allowed the seventh most fantasy points to the tight end position and Evan Ingram is the safety blanket for Trevor Lawrence in the wide receiver video I already talked about some of my concerns with the wide receivers this week but I have no concerns with Evan Ingram he should be utilized often and early in this matchup and even if he doesn't have the upside of some of the other tight end that you could play this week he definitely has one of the best floors in all of football Janu Smith was one of my sleepers this off season one of my deep sleepers this off season it's going to be really hard to utilize him in a redraft league but he could end up paying off for you if you have in a couple of best ball leagues out there because this week I don't know if I'm willing to bet on Janu Smith being a consistent fantasy producer just yet that could come but in week one against Jacksonville he definitely could have some big plays now Jacksonville didn't give up a ton of touchdowns to the tight end position but they did give up a lot of points and a lot of yards and that's mainly because they allowed an insane 12.45 five yards per reception against tight ends last season tight ends weren't putting up huge overall volume numbers but when they got passes sent their way they were putting up huge yards on those plays and that is exactly what Janu Smith does Janu Smith is the definition of big play tight end and again I don't know if I'm feeling the risk factor this week with him in my redraft league but because of the way Jacksonville gave up huge plays to tight ends last season I absolutely think that he's a dart throw maybe in a DFS lineup throw maybe a ticket or two out there on Underdog and most importantly if you have him in a best ball lineup he can end up being a big asset for you this week tesm Hill is really the only tight end to discuss a value in the Carolina and New Orleans matchup for Carolina Tommy Trimble and Ian Thomas are both listed at top the depth chart right now but shavian Sanders is a rookie to keep your eye on as the season goes on nobody is out there trying to start Jaan Johnson right now even though he does have touchdown potential every single week but Tamm Hill is the guy and tesm Hill has tons of risk and you know how I feel about Tamm Hill he should not be listed as a tight end in fantasy football but here we are he is and he catches the eye of a lot of you every single week Tamm Hill will have a high risk every single week unless he is so integral to the game plan in 2024 that he is scoring consistently over the last two years he's given you a few games where he finishes as a top 12 tight end but more times than not he finishes well outside the top 12 like if you try to start him and he doesn't work out you're basically taking a zero in the tight end spot it is really really difficult to do that to your team every single week so if you want to take a shot with Tamm Hill maybe he will be utilized a little bit differently maybe he will be in the game plan and see more passes see more targets run the football a little bit more often and maybe even get a little bit more work at quarterback but if they don't do all of that consistently then you do find yourself with an issue of trying to put somebody else in the lineup that gives you a much safer floor Minnesota and the New York Giants is another matchup with no value at the ti in position right now Josh Oliver appears to be the starter for the Minnesota Vikings until TJ hackinson comes back and more than likely we will not be looking towards Josh Oliver at all this season we'll wait for Hockinson to come back and then we'll start to evaluate the tight end position much differently for Minnesota at that point for the New York Giants Daniel Bellinger is currently a top the depth chart but we know Theo Johnson out of Penn State who they just been a Draft pick on has an opportunity to make an impact as well now Bellinger is probably more of a receiving threat where Theo Johnson would be helping on the blocking part of the game a little bit more often we'll see how that plays out this week the New York Giants definitely something to monitor with the tight end position I've liked Daniel Bellinger I do think that he can make an impact but realistically in this offense with so many receivers that are kind of at the same level of him he may not stick out in week one we'll get our first look at how Las Vegas plans on utilizing Brock Bowers in their offensive scheme everything out of training camp seems to suggest that he could be used all over the field I am going to continue to list him as a medium risk for right now though until we see a lot of consistency over the first few weeks of the season now I want you all to keep in mind that a few years ago there was an ultra athletic tight end a guy that was looked at as a Difference Maker wouldn't play a natural tight end position would be used as a weapon on the outside in the slot and all over the formation his name was Kyle pittz and he was supposed to be a Difference Maker and Atlanta hasn't been able to utilize that as of yet now it's not entirely Atlanta's fault because I think Kyle pittz may have been overhyped a little bit as a weapon and may have been more successful if he had been utilized as a traditional tight end and that's where things become really tough for rookie tight end it's that change to the NFL type of game plan where you're not just a receiver and there's other things that you need to do as well but for Brock Bowers that may not end up being the case he definitely is a guy that takes advantage of Zone schemes very very well but the manto man coverage at the NFL level could cause some problems for him I think he has a good week this week and I do think we see some creative usage from him but I'm not ready to jump on board with the top five op yet it may take a few weeks to evaluate how Hayden Hurst is going to be utilized for the LA Chargers offense now listen Jim Harbaugh he may be my spirit animal he loves tit end just as much as I do but I don't know how he's going to fit in this offense as of yet Hayden Hurst definitely could end up being a weapon but there are a lot of receiving weapons as well and we know the Chargers are going to run the football I'm not super convinced that Greg dich is even the main tight end for the Denver Broncos Adam Troutman is a Shawn Payton guy and is technically listed first on the depth chart right now Greg doich is a better receiving weapon but he spent last season injured on and off and because of that we really didn't get a chance to evaluate him fully the same way that the Denver Broncos probably didn't evaluate him fully we'll see if things change as the year goes on but for right now there's no Denver Broncos tight end that I'm willing to invest best in but for the Seattle Seahawks Noah Fant who used to be on the Denver Broncos may look to get a little bit of a Revenge game this week Noah Fant is actually in a prime position this week right now he's got one wide receiver that's banged up in Tyler Lockett he's also got DK meaf who's going to have to face Patrick ceran on the outside which means Jackson Smith njigba may be the only healthy wide receiver that's not going to have a tough mat match up this week the Denver Broncos last season allowed the most fantasy points most receiving yards and most touchdowns to the tight end position Noah Fant looking to seek a little bit of Revenge after being included in that Russell Wilson trade May absolutely put up a big game this week I don't know if it lasts all season long but I'm going to put him as a lowrisk he's a little bit closer to medium risk for me than he is low risk I do think that it there is a potential for this to not work out just because that's the way Seattle's offense operate sometime but you're not going to find a better matchup or a better opportunity for Noah Fant to be the guy Dallas and Cleveland is a prime tied end matchup with Jake Ferguson and David njoku both being in this game Jake Ferguson I love this season he's been one of our primary breakout candidates all off season long but week one may be super difficult for him to get off on the right foot last season Cleveland allowed the fewest receiving yards and the second fewest fantasy points to the tight end position but Jake Ferguson hopefully is locked in as the number two Target on this team there's going to be some risk with playing him this week but if you drafted him as your tight end one I'm probably not going to consider sitting him based on the targets alone now the reason that Cleveland has been so good against tight ends is a man by the name of Jeremiah aosu bamoa or J this guy is one of the best cover linebackers in all of football and he was a hybrid player at Notre Dame moving from linebacker to safety to defensive end that's just how much of an athletic freak that he is the dude is absolutely incredible and does a great job of moving out into coverage when he needs to against more athletic tight ends we'll see if Dallas can game plan away from that and get Jake Ferguson into the open field if they do they should be just fine but if he's locked up by J quite a bit it could lead to a rough day last season Dallas allowed the third fewest receiving yards to the tight end position and somebody has to be the guy this week and David nooku has a shot even if his upside isn't all that great because of the tough matchups on the outside and because of needing to get the ball out quickly because of the pass rush David N joku could end up being the main game plan weapon against the the Dallas Cowboys let's hope if that happens that he's able to see enough targets to help with that floor but the touchdown would be exactly what he needs to reach a decent ceiling David nooku may be a borderline tight end one this week based on the volume alone the Washington Tampa Bay matchup doesn't have an enticing tight end for me in fantasy this week Zack hers could have been a sleeper however Ben cinate is hot on his heels to take over some of that tied end one action there's really no telling how the playing time is going to be divided between those two guys yet so we'll need to keep an eye on that but I'm not really going to consider either of them for my fantasy lineup in week one and then for Tampa Bay kateen people desperately want him to be a thing which makes sense last season he ran more routes than any other tight end and football but his targets are garbage he's not utilized in the passing game sometimes he's looked at in the Red Zone but it's not very often maybe that changes this year but I'm going to have to see it consistently before I believe it for the LA Rams Colby Parkinson is stepping in as the tight end one for Tyler higgy who believe it or not is back at the same field where he was injured last season as the season goes on and Tyler higgy potentially gets healthy towards the end of the year maybe we'll discuss the tight end position a little bit further for the LA Rams but I do believe they'll probably utilize other wide receivers before they utilize Parkinson but let's talk about the potential tight end one overall this week Sam lorta scored a touchdown last year in the playoffs against these same LA Rams and the Rams allowed the second most fantasy points the second most touchdowns and the six most receiving yards to tight ends last season you already know that Sam loraa is going to be a huge piece of the game plan this week he should see a really solid day he's got a shot at a touchdown and he could end up being the tight end one on the week on Monday Night Football maybe Tyler Conklin finds himself with five maybe six targets he definitely could be an option for Aaron Rodgers getting the ball out quickly before that San Francisco defense gets in the back field with him he may not be able to move and extend plays just yet like he has been able to in the past so getting rid of it quickly will be the name of the game but Tyler Conlin to me just doesn't have the floor or the ceiling to risk investing in this week you know who I am investing in though it's George KD the New York Jets allowed the second most touchdowns to opposing tight ends last season so go ahead and lock me in with a pick them slip over on Underdog taking the over on 0 five touchdowns for George KD maybe he doesn't have a huge day in terms of volume receiving yards and receptions but scoring that one touchdown would be more than enough especially when they get to the Red Zone and they're looking to make an impact over the middle of the field while s gner is on Brandon iuk George KD has a really good opportunity this week yo headliner nation that is going to wrap up my start and sit analysis for the tight end position hopefully this video has helped you start to decide who you're going to be putting in your lineup this week but don't forget later in the week is when we will do our rankings to lock everything in go
